Chapter 108 - Paris

OUTSIDE

Mika was leaning on her bike,watching all the cars that passed by front of her.She lost count how many cars had passed because it was too long indeed.

Mika : I swear Im gonna smack her head(pushing her hair back)

Eiji and Caroline walked out from the entrance and Caroline lead Eiji to Mika.

Eiji : Where is your friend?

Caroline : Oh,that one (pointing infront)

Eiji eyes landed on a red car first,instead of the lady leaning on the bike infront of the red car.

Eiji : That red car?

Caroline : Not that one damn it,infront of the car.

Eiji : Are you kidding me?

Caroline : NO Im not.Walk faster will you.

Mika  was tapping on her helmet because Caroline came to her and tapped on her shoulder.

Mika : (turned around)

Caroline : Sorry !I am so sorry I got carried away and-

Mika : what the heck were you thinking?(saw Eiji)

Caroline : (worried)

Eiji : *bows

Mika : And this is?

Eiji : You can call me Eiji.

Mika : (shocked)

Mika turned to Caroline with a face of thousands questions mark.

Mika : You was supposed to find Shiki,but you found this Eiji instead?

Caroline : Oh damn it Mika,cut it out.

Eiji : Nice to meet you..?

Caroline : oh this is Akizuki Mika.Mika,this is the Eiji.Wait,the eiji? Oh whatever.

Mika : The Eiji sounds better.

Eiji : Nice to meet you Akizuki Mika.(smiles)

Caroline : I’ll see you anytime soon then Eiji.

Eiji : Don’t forget what I told you to do.

Caroline : Fine fine.

Mika : What happened?

Caroline : I’ll tell you later alright?Im hungry now.

Mika : Lets go to Saki’s shop.Craving for her cheese bun.And Shinn is mad Lets go.

Caroline : (laughing)

NARUMI’S SHOP

Shinn : If that’s the case,you are forgiven.

Caroline : (staring at Shinn)

Mika :I’d kill if you kept on nagging.

Caroline : …..How the heck did you two end up together…

Shinn :So,are you flying to France?

Caroline smacks her head on the table and let out a big sigh

Mika : Don’t be stupid Caroline.Or wait.I mean Jean-Marie .

Shinn : Jean-Marie? Who?

Caroline : It’s my full name which not many know about it here,in Japan.

Mika took a sip of her drink and turn to Shinn

Shinn : What?

Mika : Don’t you have any shootings or interview or whatever an artist should do?

Shinn : Told you Im on my break.Or some people would label as a hiatus.

Caroline : You are old Shinn.Get married and have kids already.

Shinn : You need to ask Mika (laughing)

Mika : Shut up.

Caroline : (tapping her hands on the table)

Mika : Just go Caroline.

Caroline : But yesterday…

Suddenly Shinn’s phone rang and he quickly excused himself to answer the phone.

Mika : What?

Caroline : He said he has a wedding to catch.

Mika : A what? Wedding.Wait,who is getting married>

Caroline : Well,it could be his.He said he had a wedding to run.

Mika : I don’t care.Who cares he is getting married.Be Caroline and run after him.

Caroline : Mika,are you crazy? You cant possibly-

Mika : I am.

Caroline : (sigh)

FRANCE

Takeru’s Apartment

Takeru was going through his photo albums and saw an old photo of him and Eiji back when they were studying in the same university .And he kept flipping until he found an old photo of their class.Takeru was standing at the top left and Caroline that time were standing at the bottom left. Coincidentally they were looking at each other when the photo is taken and perhaps,none of them realized it.

Takeru : It been 13 years indeed.

Suddenly there was knock on the door and he quickly put the album in his drawer.

Rion : Can I come in?

Takeru : Yes yes.come on.

Rion opened the door slowly and took a peek before opening it wide enough for her to pass through the door frame.

Rion : Kanon asked me to pass this to you.

Takeru turn to look at Rion whom are holding a light blue flower brooch.

Takeru : Put it on my bed.

Rion :Are you still thinking about Caroline?

Takeru : it’s a lie --

Rion : It a lie,I know.But you are such a dumb ass to let her go when she was right infront of you.

Takeru :….

Rion : Kanon would not be happy to see you looking like this on her special day.

Takeru : I’ll recover.Trust me.

Rion let out a sigh and she got up from the bed.But,she stopped and turn around to look at Takeru.

Rion : you are my only brother,Takeru.Just tell me if you need anything.I’ll be outside .

Takeru : (nodding)

Takeru did nothing but stare at the windows for a long time.He was really drown into his thoughts and nothing seems to be a matter now.
