Chapter 60

Haruna didn’t say anything  after Caroline asked her that question,instead her eyes are locked at the people walking from the across the road.Her face changed as the guys are getting closer to the their shop.

Caroline : Hello?Am I talking to a wall?

Haruna :.... School time in Tokyo and Osaka is the same right….?(pointing outside)

Caroline : Hah? What are you talking about--

Caroline turned to look at the direction Haruna kept staring and then she quickly stood up.

Caroline : Sweet baby neptune,what are they?Yankee....?

Haruna : They don’t look nice.

Caroline : They look,weird.And so...(annoyed)

Haruna and Caroline kept eyeing the group of probably high school students walking towards their empty shop .None of the school students actually had a school bag in their hands,nor they look normal with the spiky hair and the delinquent look.The one walking at the front had piercing all over his both ears and his school shirt were not even tucked in.As a matter of fact,none of them are in the right dress code for schoo. And to be frank,they should be in school,not at the door of the ramen shop.

Before Haruna and Caroline could do anything the one with the most piercing opened the door and entered the shop

Caroline : ….Welcome?

Haruna : (gulp)

Student : Seems like we got out of the school on the right time. WE are hungry,mine if you serve the 5 of us,free food?

Caroline : Excuse me?

Student 2 :You blue eyed girl.Where did you buy your contact lenses?

Caroline :  What?*lifting her eyebrows

Student : What kind of stupid question was that Junpei!?

Junpei : I should shut up now.Im sorry Gin.

Gin : Yes you should.

Haruna : you guys should be in school.

Gin turned to look at Haruna and he quickly walked towards her.

Gin :Shut up you woman.We didn’t come here for a lecture about the damn school.We want food.

Caroline : We can give you but will you pay for them?Or your teacher are having some out-of -school activities which requires you guys eating here?(sarcastic)

Junpei : Shut up you red haired.

Caroline : At least I have hair,not bald like you

All of the boys accidentally blurted out laughing before Gin shouted and asked them to keep quiet.

Gin : Before I could do anything harsh to both of you,mind if you just serve us free food?Maybe some warm tea would be nice too though

Caroline : This is not a tea shop dude

Haruna :I think you guys better leave.If the watch men saw any of you guys here.You guys would be in trouble and-

Gin : I don’t care. We have been called into the Principal office countless times and you both should keep quite now.

Caroline : (whispering to Haruna) Should we call Aya.

Haruna : They are in the kitchen,they wont hear us.The door is closed.See!

Caroline turned to look at the small door that leads to the main kitchen was closed and she quickly turned to the students.

Caroline : Annoying….

Gin : What?

Caroline OH no,I was just saying that you guys are very very good looking.And funny looking too

Junpei : Shut up you woman.

Caroline : What do you want from me you bald head.

Gin  leaned very close to Haruna who was frozen because she simply does not what to do and screaming would be not a good thing to do because these guys would just slap her anytime she thought.

Caroline : Excuse me white haired (pushing Gin away from Haruna)

Gin : White hair?(staring at Caroline)

Caroline : Yes,white hair.Before we do something you wouldn’t want --

Student : Like what?Screaming for help?Excuse me,if people come and help you we would just finish them off.

Haruna : (sigh)

Caroline : Damn,Mika should be here.

Gin ; What ?Another girl?

Haruna : Don’t make me call the owner

Haruna was about to turn around to head to the kitchen but suddenly Gin grabbed her hand and covered her mouth.

Gin ; I asked for free food.Not you giving me more trouble.CAN YOU JUST OBEY THAT SIMPLE ORDER?

Caroline : Dude,get your hands off her !

Haruna tried to free herself  but unfortunately this Gin is quite strong and his hands clenched her hand too hard that it’s hurting her.

Caroline : Would you please--

Gin : Shut up you woman!

Mika : No you shut up.

All the boys quickly turned around to find Mika standing at the door frame,with her helmet in her hand.All eyes are locked on Mika's huge black helmet as it is very big and if Mika throw to any of them,it would be really really bad.

Junpei: De...dekkai..

Gin released Haruna and turned to Mika whom is standing at the door frame of the shop.

Haruna : Mika..(relieved)

Caroline : Haruna,are you alright?Im gonna call Aya and Takeru.

Mika : Don’t worry Caroline.I can handle this.Let Aya and Takeru continue with their preparation.You can go and help them if you want to though.

Haruna  : They can hear us from here?

Mika : They wont with the loud sound of the food processor and the sound of the hot boiling water too.(grins)

All the boys eyes were locked on Mika as she closed the door and swiftly put her helmet on the nearest table.And then she put the flowers she bought beside her helmet.

Mika : So,what did you just do to my friend?

Gin  :Who are you?

Mika : A human being.With a brain,in case you haven’t heard of that word.

Junpei : OH come one another annoying girl of this shop I suppose.

Junpei swiftly grabbed Mika’s hand to pull her but then Mika was faster that she quickly pulled Junpei’s arm and swing him upside down.Junpei landed face down and his head hit the floor really hard.

Junpei : (screaming) That hurts!

Aya and Takeru whom are in the kitchen heard a thumping sound but they couldn’t hear it clearly since they turned on the radio quite  loud.

Takeru : (stirring the soup)

Aya : Did you hear that?

Takeru :Probably the machine .

Aya : (peeling the potato) Oh perhaps.Did you closed the door just now?

Takeru : Yes,wouldn’t want them hearing this loud sound (laughing)

Aya : Right,2 hours till the pick hour.We better get this order done by 12 I guess.We need to deliver this to the site later!120 packs!

Meanwhile,at the dining area.....

Caroline : (laughing)that’s gonna hurt you badly ugly school boy

Mika : Who asked you to lay your filthy finger on me you baldy ugly head.

Junpei: Gin!Do something.

Gin were quite shaken when Mika swiftly flipped Junpei easily infront of them and he knew that he would have to do something since they actually labelled him as the gang leader.Not doing anything would just affect his pride as the gang leader.

Gin : You woman--

Mika : I have a name and don’t let me tell you when you are already on the floor just like him(pointing to Junpei)

Haruna :This is going to be messy..

Caroline : (laughing) I haven’t see this side of Mika for so long.

Gin : You don’t act so grown up alright.You shouldn’t act so reckless.

Gin walked towards Mika and stood really close to her .Perhaps he was expecting Mika to scared off and moved backwards.

Mika : (staring at Gin) You guys are just another bunch of gang of high schoolers .Why cant you guys stop and go home.Thank you .I’ll be happy.

Gin :Don’t act so-

Suddenly Takeru opened the kitchen door and he saw all of them.Takeru quickly went to Caroline and Haruna and build a space between the girls and the student.

Takeru : what is happening?!

The other 3 guys quickly moved backwards and ran really fast to the door and Mika actually moved aside to let them go out.Probably they were shocked to see a man in the shop and the fact that Takeru is holding a butcher knife in his right hand....

Takeru : Scram all of you!You guys again!

Junpei was already at the door and he stopped to look at Gin

Junpei : Gin!What are you doing !Is the guy who caught us last year!Lets scram!He is that Chiyu’s friend!Get your ass moving Gin!

Gin turned to look at Takeru and once he recognized the face his face changed and he quickly moved backwards and turn around.

Mika quickly grabbed his hand and stopped him

Mika : Oh wait,you forgot something.

Mika swiftly gave him a very hard punch on the face and Gin fell flat on the ground just outside the door .

Mika  : this if for your filthy hands landing on my friend’s face. Go away.

Gin’s gums were already bleeding when  quickly got up and ran away with Junpei as fast as they can

Takeru : (sigh) these guys again.Are you girls alright?

Mika : (closed the door) They always come here?

Takeru : They haven’t come here since

Haruna : Oh my,that was so so shockening..

Takeru : No wonder Aya said she hear voices and I thought it was from the radio!I am so sorry for the trouble.Did they do anything to you girls?

Haruna : No,nothing nothing at all.We were about to call you just now.

Aya quickly went to the dining area when she heard the noise from the front.

Aya : Eh?What happened?!!

Takeru : Gin and the gang

Aya : That annoying brat white haired?

Mika : Annoying brat.Suits him.

Caroline : He almost hurt Haruna but Mika arrived right on time!As always!(clapping)

Aya : Wait wait,they did something to you Haruna?

HAruna : No no,IM fine.I was just shocked that’s all.

Mika : You still have these kind of annoying yakuza wanna be ?(annoyed)

Caroline : Yakuza wannabe....HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.What were they thinking..

Takeru : I should call Chiyu and tell himabout thi.sThese kids just wont learn.

Caroline  : I actually pray that Mika would just kick their asses and throw them on the street.Or maybe cut them into bite sizes meat and feed them to the whales..

Mika : You what?

Aya : Wait,she did that before too?

HAruna : too?

Aya : She did the same back in college.(laughing)

Haruna : She does that all the time whenever people annoys her.

Mika : I don’t alright.Well,not really now.(putting the flowers in the clear vase )

Aya : You bought flowers!

Mika : I was thinking of putting something in here.So I thought flowers would be pretty here.

Haruna : Anyway,lets get back to work!

Mika : (looking at Haruna) Are you sure you are fine?

Caroline : You look quite shaken though.

Haruna : Oh shut it.Im fine.I was just shocked because he had piercing on his eyebrows and I kept thinking how hurt when he had them on..

All of them laughed so hard when Haruna said that and Haruna laughed too when she realized her statement were quite blunt

Mika : I cant believe you Haruna.

Caroline : You are something.

Aya : Alright alright,Im gonna go up for a while alright.Take care of the shop for a while girls!

Caroline : Take your time!!

Mika :Anyway…..(hesitated)

Haruna :??

Mika : (hesitating) Nevermind.

Caroline : I am actually hungry,again.

Haruna : Are you serious?

Chapter 59

CONVENIENT STORE

Aya : Oh damn it!Mika you rode too fast!!

Mika : You were the one who asked me to speed at the turn just now (removing her helmet)

Aya : (removing her helmet) Goodness,I thought I was gonna get thrown off the bike when you suddenly brake!

Mika : Don’t worry,you are still living.Come lets get those dashi stock.I suppose we can just carry them in the bag.

Aya : Takeru must have forgotten to order them last night.We are out of them!

Mika: Good riddance I am here (grinning)

SAKURAKO INN

Shinn : Have you called her?

Hiiro : I did-

Suddenly Hiiro’s phone rang and Haruna’s name appeared on the screen

Hiiro : It’s Odera-san. Hello?

Haruna : Mizuhara-san! I am so so sorry I couldn’t pick you your call.I am very very busy at the moment.

Hiiro : Where are you anyway?

Haruna : We are at a shop,working!

Hiiro : Wait,what? Working?Did you say working?

Shinn : Working?

Haruna : Yes,yes!I’ll call you back bye!

Before Hiiro could ask where and why Haruna ended the call.Hiiro stared at his phone as if his phone had grown thorns

Hiiro : What the heck?Did she just--

Shinn : Did you say working?

Hiiro : I don’t understand this girl.

Shinn : You can never understand women.Anyway,done with your stuffs?I am quite famished.

Hiiro : Speaking of that,I am craving for something hot.Since the weather is quite cold.

Shinn : I guess Sakurako-san can help us.

HIiro and Shinn locked their door and went to the reception counter of the inn.Sakurako-san is there and Hiiro walked straight to her.

Hiiro : Sorry to disturb you Sakurako-san.

Sakurako : Eh no no its okay young man.How can I help you?

Hiiro : Is there any nearby shop that serves something with soup?A ramen shop or anthing that is just walking distance?

Sakurako : Yes there are ! If you walk along the road to the left,and walk further down and turn right you’ll find a ramen shop owned by a couple.They serves the best soba and omurice! And if you turn to your left,you’ll fina small cabin café that serves western cuisine such as pastries and bread. And if you walk further up,which is your right,you’ll reach the small town (smiles)

Shinn : Omurice?Sounds good.(smiles)

Sakurako : Really really,you wont regret eating there.Takeru-san is a very good cook!

Hiiro : Oh well then,we shall go to the ramen shop then.Thank you for the help Sakurako-san (smiles)

Sakurako : Becareful walking there !*bowing

AYA’S SHOP

Caroline : Irraishaimase!!!!

Haruna : Caroline!Lower your voice!

Caroline : Welcome welcome!How many people?

Haruna sighed as Caroline ignored her and kept on welcoming all the people who came in with a very cheerful voice and everyone seems to be shocked to see her.Perhaps,to have a red haired,blue eyed and tall girl welcoming them to the shop that day is something they didn’t expect

Customer : Sumimasen,Can I have another bowl of rice?

Haruna : (turned around) Yes yes.I’ll take it for you.(smiles)

Caroline : Thank you,please come again *bowing

Haruna : 2 omurice?and 2 green tea?Is that all ?(smiles)

Customer : Is it possible for you to add miso soup together?

Haruna : Of course no problem!(smiles)

Caroline was everywhere in the shop taking care of the customers while Haruna sends all the orders to the kitchen.It was indeed a busy day for them as many customers came to the shop that time

CONVENIENT STORE

Aya : Alright (zipping her shopiing bag)

Mika : You got everything?

Aya : Yes!Alright,lets go!

Mika : Don’t forget to put wear the helmet Takeru asked you to wear!

Aya : Hai hai captain(grinning)

As Mika and Aya got onto the bike,Mika quickly rode away as they must not be long because the only one cooking is Takeru and it wont be long before people starts coming in for early lunch.

Mika rode along the main road and passed by the Sakurako Inn and she realized several people walking along the side ways and she spotted two guys walking along the way.She thought they look familiar but she just ignored them headed straight to the shop.

Mika parked her bike infront of the shop instead of the usual spot.She usually parked her bike behind the shop and it is easier for her to lock it.Aya quickly went inside as they arrived because she needs to help Takeru in the kitchen.

Mika : (removing her helmet)

Caroline : Yaho!!*waving

Mika : You look like you are enjoying the work so much

Caroline : Well,you don’t see this everyday (pointing at the clothes she wears and the apron)

Mika : Indeed,come lets go inside.

Haruna : (saw Mika coming) Oh my god,I thought--

Mika : (saw Haruna) Why are you standing there Haruna?

Haruna  :….

Mika : Haruna?

Haruna : (snapped out)

Caroline : (looking at Haruna) WHats wrong?

Haruna keep looking outside and she said nothing

Mika : (looking at Haruna’s direction) What are you looking at?

Haruna : Oh nothing,nothing. Eh,you are back?

Mika : What is wrong with you (laughing)

Haruna : The last customer just left anyway.We have nothing to do just yet

Mika : (putting on her apron)Im gonna go to the kitchen to help alright.Wait wait..I forgot..

Caroline : What?

Mika : (removing her apron)

Haruna : Where are you going?

Mika : Im gonna go out for a while,just for a while.Im thinking of stopping by the  flower shop for a while.

Caroline : We have flowers here?

Haruna : What kind of question is that(smacks Caroline’s head)

Mika : I’ll be right back alright.take good care of the shop.

Mika went out and quickly rode away after putting on her helmet

Haruna : Caroline!(whispering)

Caroline : What?What?

Haruna : I am worried now.

Caroline : Why?

Haruna : Why  do you look not worried?

Caroline : Why would I look worried..wait what?

Haruna : What if they are here?

Caroline : They? Who?Your favorite band?Larc en ciel?

Haruna : Damn it Caroline not them!

Caroline : Then--…oh my god..them,

Haruna : (nodding)

Caroline : Sweet baby,I forgot about them.wait,they are here?

Haruna :I don’t know.I didn’t get to ask him just now.

Caroline : Did he call you?

Haruna : He did but that time I was busy,we were busy. So I didn’t get to talk much.And my phone is upstairs…

 Caroline : Mine too.Since Aya said it woud be dangerous is we put them here.

Haruna : I ran up just now because I heard my ringtone but then…(sigh)

Caroline : Wait,if they are here.They should have already checked in at Sakurako right?

Aya : What?Aiko has been admitted to the hospital!?(on the phone)

Yabuki : Yes yes,it was last night.She complaint about her stomach ache and our mom insisted that we go to the hospital.

Aya : It’s okay !You can take care of her!Dont worry about the shop alright!

Mika : (looking at Aya)

Aya : (end the call) I hope Aiko is well..

Aya placed the phone on the table and let out a sigh

Mika : What happened to Aiko-san?

Aya : I think it must be her digestion problem again.(sigh)

Mika :So I am guessing you need some extra hands?

Aya : (looking at Mika) If you are not busy……

Mika : We are not(smiling)

Aya : Wait “We”?

A few minutes later….

Caroline : Now,this is what you call a sexy waiter at the ramen shop!You don’t find a red haired waiter with a hakama everyday *winks

Haruna : (arranging her hakama) Was it suppose to be this way or-

Mika : Come let me help you(arranging Haruna’s hakama)

Caroline : I am just too excited!

Aya : Thank you so much for doing this.I wouldn’t know what to do if you guys are not here!

Haruna : Don’t mention it Aya-san. This is going to be real real fun.

Caroline : Should I tie my  hair into a ponytail or a bun.

Haruna : I think a ponytail would look fine because we are going to wear the cap.

Caroline : Ponytail it is then!

Aya kept smiling as three of the girls are getting ready to help her with the shop since Yabuki and Aiko cant make it. Among the three,Caroline was the one looks very excited and she kept on offering to take the orders from the customers.While Haruna on the other hand prefer to stay and handle the payment counter.

Takeru walked out from the kitchen and was so shocked when he saw the three girls in their working clothes.

Mika : So,are we good to go?

Caroline : Hai hai Taichou!*saluting

Haruna : Caroline,we are working at a ramen shop not the military!

Caroline : Eh?

Mika : (sigh)

Aya : Alright,alright!Lets open the shop now!

SAKURAKO INN

Hiiro looked at his phone and then the signboard and then he looked again at his phone and he kept doing it for several times.

Shinn : What the heck are you doing?

Hiiro :Haruna didn’t return my calls and I am not sure if this is the right place.this girl sure are making me crazy

Shinn : (snatched Hiiro’s phone) Let me see.

Hiiro : She said “Sakurako Inn” and this one is Sakurako Inn and --

Shinn : Then whats the matter now,lets just go in and get a room

As they were talking,one of the lady in charge came towards then asked if they are planning to stay over.

Sakurako : Good Morning gentlemen,are you planning on staying here?(smiles)

Shinn : Good Morning (smiles)

HIiro : Yes,yes.But if I may ask,is there any of your customer checked in with the name Odera Haruna?

Sakurako : Im afraid I cant remember,let me check.May I know if you need any help with the bags?

Shinn : It’s okay.We are fine (smiles)

Sakurako : I am Sakurako Aida.Welcome to my Inn.Please wait for a while ,Im gonna go check about Odera Haruna*bows

Shinn and Hiiro sat at the small chair near the entrance to the Inn while Sakurako went to the office room to do some checking.

AS both of them were talking abour random stuffs,suddenly they heard a loud screeching sound of engine coming from the road and followed by a loud laughter.

Shinn : (shocked)

Before Hiiro could say anything Shinn went outside to look as the sound is getting slower and he thought that the rider must have gone really fast.

Shinn : (looking around)

Hiiro : Whats wrong?

Shinn : No,Nothing.

Sakurako : Sorry for the troubles.Yes,we do have a guest with the name Odera Haruna staying here.Are they your friends?

HIiro : yes,yes.She came with a friend right?.And she was the one who suggested we stay here too.

Sakurako : So kind of Odera-san.Are you guys planning on staying here too?The room next to their room is vacant.I can arrange for your stay immediately.

Shinn : Yes,yes,Thank you so much Sakurako-san.

Shinn didn’t even remove his black shades because he was trying to avoid people recognizing him  .And the same thing goes to Hiiro.

Chapter 57- Pictures

NIGHT

Kazuya was alone in his room since Mika went home earlier.He was lying on his bed staring at the ceiling Suddenly he got up and and braced himself to walk on his own.He got out from his ward and walked straight to the reception table

Yuumi : Eh!? Kazuya-san!What are you doing here,out of your room!?You should have just pressed the button!

Yuumi quickly went to Kazuya and helped him walk towards the couch at the waiting area.

Kazuya : I..I need you do me a favor.

Yuumi helped Kazuya to sit on one of the couch and then she sat beside him.

Yuumi : A favor?

Kazuya took our his phone from his pocket and hand it to Yuumi.

Kazuya : Can you help me print out all the photos in this phone? There is only one album in here (coughing)

Yuumi : Hah?

Kazuya : Can..you?

Yuumi : ..Of course,I can.No problem at all.(smiles)

Kazuya was coughing so hard that Yuumi quickly went to her table and took bottle of water for Kazuya.

Yuumi : Your throat is dry Kazuya-san,drink this.

Kazuya took a few sips before the  cough eased down and he leaned on the couch.

Yuumi : Are you feeling better now?

Kazuya : (sigh) Yes yes.Thank you so much Yuumi-san

Yuumi : Your photos,I’ll get it print tomorrow alright?

Kazuya : Thank you so much for helping me .I cant find anyone else to help me with this

Yuumi : you can always ask from me Kazuya -san,it’s not like you are not used to me (laughing)

Kazuya : (laughing)

Yuumi : Come,let me help you walk back to your room.You are going to catch a cold if you stay out here longer doctor!

THE NEXT DAY

Yuumi was walking out from the photo shop after getting Kazuya’s photo printed.She put Kazuya’s phone back in her bag and hold the thick envelope with her two hands.

Yuumi : What photos did he asked me to print…(peeking)

WARD 009

Yuumi went to Kazuya’s room to find he was already asleep soundly.She carefully put the envelope on the side table together with his phone.She was really carefull not to make any sound so that Kazuya wont be disturbed.

Yuumi : Mika is very lucky to have you Kazuya-san.Goodnight (smiles)

MORNING

Yuumi was busy writing her report when Kazuya suddenly lean on the table and  tap on the table.

Kazuya : Good Morning!

Yuumi : Rise and Shine Kazuya-san!How are you feeling today?

Kazuya : Never been better.Anyway,thank you for this.(showing the envelope)

Yuumi : Don’t mention it (winks)

Kazuya : IS it possible to ask for another favor?

Yuumi : (laughing) Fire away doctor,what is it?

[Forward to 19^th December,the night Kazuya died]

Yuumi walked towards Mika whom were standing alone at the park,it was around 1 in the morning and after receiving such news,Mika couldn’t even bring herself to sleep.

Yuumi : Mika-san?

Mika : (turned to Yuumi) Eh Yuumi-san?

Yuumi sat beside Mika and smiled to her

Yuumi : I am sorry for your lost.

Mika : …. I think I am prepared for this Yuumi-san.He was leaving anyway.

Yuumi : (sigh)

Mika : Are you done with work?

Yuumi : Miko-san is handling everything with several senior nurses up there.I came down here to give you something

Mika : ??

Yuumi handed a medium sized box to Mika and asked her to take it.

Mika : What is this?

Yuumi swiftly put the box on Mika’s lap and stood up.

Yuumi : you’ll know it when you open it alright Mika-san.I shall be going now (smiles)

Yuumi turned around and walked towards the main door,leaving the speechless Mika alone at the park with no explanation about why she gave her the box.

Mika’s eyes are locked at the light brown box on her lap and she took her time to lift the lid open.When she opened it,there is light cream photo album with the name “ MIKA” engraved on the hard cover.

Mika : (shocked)

Mika at first hesitated to open the album but then,she gathered her will and open it.

“For my love,Mika.Thank you,for everything"

That were the only words written on the first page of the album and Mika knew,it was from Kazuya.She then flipped to the next page and to her surprise,it was filled with photos of her taken secretly by Kazuya.She flipped again through the next pages and all photos in the album are her photos alone.None of the photos are actually taken with her knowing it.It was photos of her that Kazuya secretly took without her noticing because every photo,she didn’t even look at the camera at all.Not even one photo.

Mika :….

Mika closed the album and hold it very tight in her arms.Her cheeks were already wet with her tears because it was impossible to hold back after all.Mika sat there and did nothing.

Mika : You know I am gonna have a hard time letting you go Kazuya.

Chapter 56 -Kazuya,Mika.

Few days before Kazuya’s death…

Mika was sitting on the couch beside Kazuya’s bed,knitting a beanie for Kazuya to wear.Kazuya in the other hand just watch as she was so into her knitting progress.

Kazuya : So focus!

Mika : hmmmm it was suppose to be this way and..Ah damn it,I got this one tangled!

Kazuya : (laughing)

Mika : (sigh) I am no pro in this at all.

Mika looked up and turn to Kazuya.

Kazuya : (smiling)

Mika put aside the beanie and look at Kazuya.

Mika : Do you want to go out?

Kazuya : (laughing) Why did you ask?

Mika : You have been in here for too long and I can see that you are feeling bored.

Kazuya : As a matter of fact,having you here is enough.

Mika : (grins) Are you trying to flirt again Doctor Kazuya?

Kazuya : Well,I can flirt with my girlfriend anytime I want,don’t you think so?

Mika : I guess my luck for life has all been used up .

Kazuya : And why is that?

Mika : I got a very charming boyfriend that’s why.

Kazuya : Only charming?

Mika : (staring at Kazuya) Do you want me to list it all out?

Kazuya just laughed when Mika sarcastically asked him that.

Kazuya : (coughing)

Mika : I’ll get you the wheel chair alright?(smiles)

Mika went out from the ward and she stood infront of the door for a while.

Mika : (sigh)I am never ready to let him go after all.

PARK

Mika pushed Kazuya’s wheelchair around the park while Kazuya just sit on it,enjoying the beautiful view of the flowers and tress at the park.Kazuya had the beanine Mika bought for him earlier and he even wrap Mika’s red muffler around his neck to keep himself warm.

Mika : A good day for stroll don’t you think?

Kazuya : A wonderful day indeed

Mika then sat on one of the bench  and look at Kazuya

Mika : you don’t even look sick (laugh)

Kazuya : How can I look sick when I am happy all the time?

Mika : (smiles)

Kazuya :Do you know I read a book one of the nurses brought me yesterday night.

Mika : A novel?

Kazuya : A very nice one.

Mika : Who is the writer?

Kazuya :…..

Mika : You didn’t even check?

Kazuya : (grins) I …forgot.

Mika : Kazuya will always be Kazuya…what is it about?

Kazuya : To conclude it,it is about a boy and a girl whom actually are fated to be together but they didn’t know about it until fate draws the cirlce

Mika : Interesting..

Kazuya : They both have actually bumped into each other many times,talked to each other and actually got acquainted but they didn’t know that fate has been playing around them since…. I really like the story line,the writer actually focuses on how fate can be tricky but in the end,everything is worth the wait.

Mika : Hmmmmm.I wish that kind of fate exist.

Kazuya : I think it does Mika,you know why writers write?

Mika : ..Because whatever that runs in their mind is something they see everyday?

Kazuya : And something they believe will happen to any of us.

Mika : Any of us indeed..

Kazuya look straight at Mika’s face and smile.

Kazuya : you’ll be there Mika.your time will come.

Mika : What if I don’t want to be there?

Kazuya : Fate is something unexpected Mika,just like you said(laughing)

Mika : fate is a funny thing after all (sigh)

The next day..

Mika : Finally!Look!

Kazuya whom were playing with his phone quickly looked up.Mika was showing him the beanie she had been knitting for him for the past few days.

Mika  quickly stood up and went to Kazuya,she removed the red beanie she bought for him and placed the navy blue beanie that she knitted for Kazuya

Mika : Now you look alive.

Kazuya : (laughing) I guess your mom taught you well about knitting.

Mika : Exactly .

Kazuya  ran his fingers on the new beanie and he instantly asked Mika to sit beside him.

Mika : Eh why?

Kazuya : Just come here.

Mika went closer to Kazuya and before she could do anyting,Kazuya pulled her really close and hug her.

Kazuya : Thank you

Mika froze when Kazuya suddenly hug her and when Kazuya released the hug,Mika sat beside him and look at him.

Kazuya : You know how much I thank god for giving such a beautiful woman in my life?

Mika : …

Kazuya  took Mika’s hand and kissed them.Mika startled a bit but then with Kazuya’s hand holding her,she feel so at ease and she just time would just freeze that time.

Kazuya : Can I hug you again?*winks

Mika : (laughing) What am I going to do with you

Chapter 55 - Sayonara

LATE NIGHT [ 19/12/2012]

After Mika got the news,she knew being strong is the only she can do at that moment.She has prepared herself for the news but it seems that all the walls she build to overcome her  fear had fallen. Easier and faster than she thought. She really thought she can take the news withouth breaking down but after all,a news like this is not something you can bear to hear. Mika had lost her mother and then her father before.Both really had teared her up and cut her heart really deep.But,the news that she got that night was something she thought she would expect,but it turned out it was not. Losing him was another side of her story.

Doctor : Kazuya was a great doctor Akizuki-san.I am ..sorry *bows.

Mika said nothing when the doctor left her alone in the room.Yuumi,the nurse bowed to her and she knew she would give Mika some time alone with Kazuya,the lifeless body of Kazuya.

Mika stared at Kazuya’s calm face.

Mika : You don’t look like you are dead Kazuya…..

Mika went closer to Kazuya and look at his face.Kazuya’s face looked really calm,as if he was still alive.He looks as if he was ready to leave and nothing looks wrong as if he was healthy.Except his lips were quite pale and he stil had his beanie that Mika sew for him.

Mika : I thought I was ready for this..I thought I was Kazuya..

Mika took a seat near Kazuya and lean close to Kazuya ‘s face.

Mika : Good night,my love.For the very last time.

Mika kissed Kazuya forehead before covering his face with the white blanket.

OUTSIDE

Yuumi : It is such a sad night….(sigh)

Miko : Very.we never had this kind of situation.I mean we always ,but not when two patient died almost at the same time and their room are next to each other.

Yuumi : Not a coincidence at all.(sigh)

Miko : Rina-chan and Kazuya was my favorite patients here.

Yuumi ; (wiping her tears) I should get the report done

Miko : Are you sure you can do it?

Yuumi’s hands were trembling because she was still in schock as she was still new as a nurse,compared to Miko,she had been working as a nurse for almost 5 years.Yuumi did not move and the report in her hands suddenly slipped out of her hands and Miko quickly catch it.

Miko  : I’ll do it okay.You take a rest(smiles)

Miko quickly took Rina’s medical report and did a recheck at the time of death and then she took Kazuya’s and did the same

Miko : Eh..this cant be true..

Yuumi : Why?

Miko : They shared the same birth date and…

Yuumi : Are you sure?(shocked)

Yuumi quickly got up and look at the reports

Yuumi :“ Akizuki rena,birth date…wait.. Kazuya…birth date…Oh my,it is the same…”

Miko : As if God has written something for them.

Yuumi : Their time of death are only an hour apart.And the fact Rina was the first and then Kazuya.It seems like a gentle death don’t you think?

Miko : gentle death?

Yuumi : Rina and Kazuya were very close right,so I guess God really took care of Rina so that she wont be heart broken if Kazuya left first.

Miko : (shocked) I guess…tonight is a night to remember.

Yuumi : A sad night to remember Miko-san.

Yuumi eyed the doors for the 009 and 010 ward and looked down.

Yuumi : I wont be seeing you both again then.(sigh)

NEXT MORNING

The Nagasaki memorial parked were quite windy .there are several people visiting the place and everyone are busy giving their respect to the the graves of ther loved ones,Including Shinn and Mika.

Shinn stared at the tomb written Rina’s name ,he did nothing but stare at it.

Shinn : I miss you already Rina.

Shinn suddenly realized someone was standing at the opposite site and looked up as he saw a girl infront of a grave.

After a while Shinn bowed to give his respect and turned around to leave.He caught a glance at the girl who was standing at the opposite of him.

Mika : I bought your favorite flower Kazuya.I mean,our favorite(smiles)

Mika took her time there and she realized she need to go back.She quickly bowed to Kazuya's grave and turn around to walk out from the park

As she walked pass the entrance door ,she suddenly she saw a guy standing near a car.The guy had a blonde hair and he was wearing a black shades.She thought she had seen this guy before.

Both of them exchanged glances and that very moment none of them knew,that it is not their first meeting nor their last one.

Chapter 54 - Numbered Days

18 th DECEMBER 2012

LATE NIGHT

Rina cant get herself to sleep that night because she slept all day long earlier because of her heart problem earlier.The doctor had to inject pain kill shots in order to ease the pain that she quickly fell asleep.She was wide awake and Shinn went home that night to settle some stuff.She quickly put on her cardigan and slowly opened the door.She took a peek at the dim hallway and saw several nurses at the reception table.She slowly tip toed and opened the next door’s door and quickly got inside.

Rina : that was scary (sigh)

Kazuya : You cant sleep,again?(laughing)

Rina quickly turned around to see Kazuya sitting at the windows with a book in his hand.

Rina : How did you know?

Kazuya :You had been doing that since weeks ago  (laughing)

Rina slowly walk towards Kazuya and sat infront of him.

Rina : I am so bored.Months being here had been so long indeed.

Kazuya : Too long, indeed.

Rina,at first didn’t know that she could get really really comfortable with Kazuya,she just met him about a month ago but Kazuya had the charm to make everyone around him feel comfortable around him.And Rina instantly feel really at ease whenever she talks to Kazuya.She had been sneaking into Kazuya’s room whenever she cant sleep and Kazuya would always accompany her with stories about the books he is reading or maybe tell her about his experience being a doctor.And sometimes,about the loves of his life.

Rina : I don’t even know why I am so comfortable around you..wait I think I have told you that countless times (laughing)

Kazuya : I am so glad to hear that.(laughing)

Rina : What are you reading tonight?

Kazuya : Mika brought this along this morning,a book by Murakami (showing her the novel)

Rina : Norwegian Wood!(looking at the cover)

Kazuya : I guess my girlfriend shared the same interest with you Akizuki-san.

Rina : Wahhh,I reall really want to meet your girlfriend.

Kazuya : Eh,she was here this morning and also when we walked back together from the park that day.

Rina : I didn’t see her…

Kazuya :She was there with me Akizuki-san(laughing).

Rina : Will she come again tomorrow!?

Kazuya : everyday .

Rina : I am so happy now.I cant believe I have never bumped into her. (facepalm)

Kazuya : So,what happened to you.Why are you not asleep at this time?

Rina : I slept the whole day after the doctor gave me shots of painkiller.I hate when they do that but oh well like you said….

Kazuya : (laughing)

Rina : Advice taken Doctor.

Kazuya : No wonder…

Rina : Why are you not asleep tonight?Still counting the stars?(laughing)

Kazuya : Considering my days are numbers,sleeping is not even a priority.

Rina’s face  expression changed and she quickly look at Kazuya.

Rina : Numbered days..indeed.

Kazuya : You know when you realized your days are numbered,you feel like you need to do everything all at once,and you don’t even care to sleep.You wont even feel sleepy at all.I mean if the doctors didn’t give you any pain killer or something (laughing)

Rina : You are right Kazuya...you are always right….let me ask you something..

Kazuya : yes?

Rina : If you are given one last day to do something,what would it be?I mean if you know the days that are numbered for you and you have only one last chance to do something

Kazuya :….(thinking)

Rina : take your time.

Kazuya : I would want to make everyone happy….everyone.

Rina : …..

Kazuya : what about you?

Rina : ……

Kazuya : (looking at rina)

Rina : If,If..I still have time I would want to find my sister.

Kazuya : Your sister?

Rina : Yes,my long lost sister.I really miss her.You know the one I told you about.

Kazuya : The one who has the same name as my girlfriend?

Rina : You seldom talk about your girlfriend though (laughing)

Kazuya : You will find her one day.Maybe you did but fate are still playing though.I find this fate game really funny.Dont you think.

Rina : Fate is something unexpected Kazuya-san.That is why we always take everything for granted.

Kazuya : (laughing) Indeed.

19 th December 2012

Mika stood infront of the vending machine and stare at the screen.She had been staring,doing nothing for almost a while.

Mika : (staring at the drinks)

Shinn was walking behind her and suddenly he stopped.He look at the girl staring at the vending machine and thought he recognized her but he quickly continued walking.

Mika pressed the button for the green tea and when she got the drink she quickly turned around.

Shinn was still watching her from a far and saw her face.Because since he got out from the lift,he saw Mika not moving an inch at all from the vending machine.

Shinn : I  have met this girl somewhere..

Mika quickly walked out of the drinks section at the hospital’s café and walked towards the waiting section.She took a seat and stare at the empty seats.It was quite late at night and not many people are they in the area.

Shinn realized Mika whom are sitting alone at the couch but he ignored it at first and proceed on buying the drink Rina requested earlier.

Shinn : Since when does she drinks Coffee.(pushing the coffee button)

Rina never even like drinking coffee but all of a sudden,that night she asked Shinn to get her some coffee and she said she wanted the one from the vending machine.Shinn said nothing when she asked that.Shinn looked at his watch to check on the time

Shinn : It’s almost 9 now.No wonder the hospital is getting emptier.

WAITING AREA

Mika stared at her watch,doing nothing because she was having trouble accepting the fact that Kazuya would be leaving her soon.She knew Kazuya cant make it ,but deep inside she really want to believe Kazuya would live no matter what

Mika : I cant do this....(sigh)

Shinn was about to leave but his eyes caught Mika sitting alone at the waiting area,he stopped and took a glance.

Shinn : What is she doing there..alone?

Mika then quickly stood up and she saw Shinn looking at her.

Shin quickly bows .

Mika : *bowed.

Shinn : Good Evening.

Mika :….. Good Evening.

Shinn : Im sorry if you feel weird about me asking this but are you alright?

Mika ran her fingers through her shoulder length  hair and look at the blonde haired guy standing fewsteps of her.She took a quick look at the guy before realizing that she was spacing out.

Shinn : ???

Mika : (sigh)

Mika quickly shook her head and look up.

Mika : No,nothing is wrong.Excuse me (bowing)

Mika then quickly walked towards the lift and went straight to Kazuya’s room.Leaving Shinn  there without saying anything at all.Her mind was in a mess that she cant think of anyting that time as if something is troubling that night.

Shinn didn’t say anything as he eyed Mika walking pass him.

Chapter 53 - Rina and Kazuya

FLASHBACK

 1^st November 2012

SASEBO HOSPITAL,NAGASAKI

PARK

Rina : (sigh)I have such a weak heart indeed.

Kazuya : Is this seat taken?

Rina whom were busy reading her novel quickly looked up to look at the guy standing infront of her.The guy with a red beanie on his head smiles as he waits for Rina to respond.

Kazuya : (smiles)

Rina : ....No not all!(smiles)

Kazuya took the empty seat infront of Rina and smiles at her.

Rina : Are you a patient here…wait..(looking at Kazuya’s blue attire)..I guess you are.

Kazuya : (coughing) Yes yes indeed.Pardon me for that.I guess I should have brought along my jacket or something.

Rina quickly unwrap the shawl around her neck and offered it to Kazuya.

Rina : Here,take this.I am sure you are cold.

Kazuya : No,not its okay.I am fine.

Rina : I insist(smiles)

Kazuya looked at Rina before obediently take the pastel blue shawl and wrap it around his cold neck

Kazuya : I can guess you have been here long?

Rina : Well, you could say about 18 days.Or wait,I lost count.hmmmm

Kazuya : (coughing)

Rina : I get that you haven’t been here long.The park is usually cold around morning,you should really bring something to keep you warm (laughing)

Kazuya : I’ll keep that in mind.

Rina : Do you mind if I ask you,your name?

Kazuya : No,not at all.I am Kazuya.Just call me Kazuya.

Rina was quite startled when Kazuya randomly ask her to call him by his first name,and he didn’t even mention his last name at all.

Kazuya : And you are?

Rina : Akizuki Rina des (smiles).Nice to meet you Kazuya-san.             

Kazuya : Akizuki?

Rina : (nodding) Why?

Kazuya : No no,now that you mention,you look like my girlfriend.

Rina : (excited) I look like your girlfriend!Where is she!Can I meet her!

Kazuya : As a matter of fact,she is coming here around 9 later.

Rina : (sigh) My boyfriend is coming too..I thought I can meet her!

Kazuya : (laughing)

Rina : Hmmmm Kazuya-san,do you like it here anyway?

Kazuya : The hospital?

Rina :Yeahp,since you are new around here.This park is always vacant around morning!I guess,we’ll be seeing each other !

Kazuya : If I live longer..why not?(smiles)

Rina looked at Kazuya after he said that and that moment she knew,she shares the same fate as the stranger who never fails to put a smile on his face since the moment they met.

Rina : If we both live long enough…(smiles)

Kazuya : What are you reading?

Rina : You want to know!?

Kazuya : I have 2 hours before Mika comes so,why not.

Rina : (shocked)

Kazuya : Why,whats wrong?

Rina : No nothing!This book is written by Murakami-san.Have you haerd of him?

Kazuya :I am not fond of books but I think Murakami-san is so well known that I know him

Rina : (laughing)

WARD 009

Mika : (looking around) Where the heck did he go?

Mika closed the door  and as she was about to turn around she suddenly bumpen into the guy who was walking to the opposite direction.

Mika : I am so sorry.I didn’t meant to ..I am so sorry.

GUY: It’s okay.It’s okay.I am fine.

Mika : *bowing

Mika quickly turned around to head to the reception table of the floor

The other guy slowly opened the door of the ward next to Kazuya’s ward and went inside.

Mika : Yuumi-channn.

Yuumi is one of the nurse assigned at the 5^th floor ,the floor which Kazuya is staying that time.She and Mika have been acquinted since the first day Kazuya was admitted.

Yuumi : Good Morning Mika-san!You are early today!

Mika : I have nothing to do at home ..anyway,do you know where did Kazuya go?

Yuumi : I think he went outside-- eh there he is!

Yuumi pointed at the lift and Kazuya was seen walking out from the lift  and he eyes caught Mika.

Kazuya : *waving

Mika : (staring ) You are sick and you still want to walk around !?

Kazuya slowly walked towards Mika and Mika quickly helped him.

Yuumi : Kazuya-san,you always make your girlfriend worry!

Kazuya : Well*winks.

Mika : Stop flirting,now lets go inside your room.

Yuumi : Becareful!(laughing)

After Mika and Kazuya got into the ward,Rina was walking at the hall way while reading her novel that she didn’t realize anything that happened just now.

Yuumi : Good Morning Rina-san!(smiles)

Rina quickly looked up to see that she almost hit the reception table

Rina : (closed her book) eh..eh good morning Yuumi-chan~

Yuumi : I saw Mizuhara-san going into your room already!You should go !

Rina : He is here!?(panicked)

Yuumi : (laughed) I saw packets of marshmallows just now!

Rina : I have to run!see you Yuumi-chan and thank you!

WARD 010

Shinn  was arranging the food he bought and suddenly the door to the ward opened and Rina came running in.

Rina : You bought marshmallow!?

Shinn : As a matter of fact,yes.And where did you?

Rina : I was at the park,as usual but today I had a company!

Shinn :who?

Rina : He is the patient next door!I just got to know him just now.(smiles)

Shinn : Now,that’s good.At least you wont be lonely when taking your usual walk at the park after this?

Rina : I want marshmallows.

Shinn : I bought 10 packets of it.But--

Rina : What?

Shinn : (looking at Rina)

Rina : What?

Shinn went to Rina and lean really close to her.

Rina : Whats wrong?

Shinn : It me or you look older today?

Rina : (annoyed) Not funny Shinn.

Shinn : (laughing)Alright,IM joking IM joking.

Rina quickly sat on her bed after Shinn opened a packet of marshmallow and sat on the chair beside the bed.

Rina : You know the guy I met just now,his name is Kazuya and I found out his girlfriend has the same name as my sister.

Shinn : Kazuya?

Rina : Yeahp,I found out that he was ..I mean well he was a doctor here before he got sick.

Shinn : And…?

Rina : Well,he tell me stories about everything.How he always travel and stuff.He must be such good doctor.He knows what to do to heal a patient boredom (laughing)

Shinn : Well,now you have me.I can heal all your boredom.(grins)

Rina : Are you trying to flirt with me,Mizuhara Shinn?

Shinn : (laughing)

Chapter 52

AYA’S SHOP

Yabuki was busy cleaning the table when he suddenly saw two girl walking towards the shop.He could see a very tall red haired girl and another one is a black haired.He realized that the red haired had the Harajuku Gyaru style of attire that he seldom spot around that area.He quickly helped them with the door when they arrived.

Yabuki : Welcome !

Caroline : Holy damn,you are so tall.(looking at Yabuki)

Yabuki : (smiling at Caroline)

Caroline : And your are good looking too-

Haruna : Shut it Caroline.

Aiko : *bowing to Caroline and Haruna

Mika : Here here!

Caroline and Haruna went to the table near the counter and sat infront of Mika.

Mika : You guys are early!It’s only 6!

Caroline : I am hungry and I want to order everything please.

Haruna : She didn’t even want to eat anything because she want to eat everything here (sigh)

Caroline : I smell something really really nice (sniffing)

Aya: Hello!Hello!

Haruna : Aya-san!How are you?(smiling)

Aya : Im great,really great! How are you both?(sat beside Mika)

Caroline : We are hungry…

Aya : (laughing)Aiko!Order!Here here!

Aiko ; right away Aya-san!

Aiko quickly went to their table and took their order and brought them to the kitchen.Aya followed after her and joined Takeru at the kitchen.

Mika : (playing with her phone)

Caroline : Eh,you turn it on?

Mika : To find about 500 missed calls and unopened text messages.yes.

Haruna : Your fault (laughing)

Caroline : Any from Shinn?

Mika : There are several though.Several..I guess.

Haruna  : Mika,how long are you going to hide yourself here.

Mika : For as long as I can,I wish.

Haruna took the magazine somebody left on the counter and opened them.

Haruna :Speaking of the mighty devils(showing Mika the front page)

Caroline : It’s them(shocked)

Haruna : Didn’t knew they would feature Shinn and Hiiro in this month’s.

Mika : So,this was the one the girls been talking about

Caroline : Here comes the food!

As they were eating...

Haruna : Seriously Mika,when are you gonna go back to Tokyo?

Mika : How can I answer that when  don’t even know the answer.

Caroline : think now (slurping her soba)

Mika : (sigh)

Haruna : You know that you cant stay here forever.

Mika : And you know that I cant really go back to Tokyo and live like usual after all of this.

Caroline She got a point Haruna.And this uh soba..oh my god,the soup is so so…

Haruna : Stop talking and eat (laughing)

Along the way back to the Inn...

Caroline : You told Shinn didn’t you?

Haruna : Oh well.You know me.

Caroline : When did tell him?

Haruna : About 5 minutes ago?

Caroline : Are they coming?

Haruna : I dont know...well,all we can do is wait.

Caroline : I guess we should dig our graves now.Mika is going to kill us for this.

Haruna : I’d do anything for her Caroline. Mika cant live without Shinn and I know that.

Caroline : We both know that.Now lets just go back and sleep get ready for another day in Osaka!

Chapter 51- The meet up

Mika spent about an hour there and realized she actually ordered 3 same drinks and realized that she was there too long.Mika paid for her drinks and quickly got out of the café while her helmet in her hands.

Mika went to her bike and got onto it.She quickly put on her helmet and rode further up heading towards the main part of the town.As she was riding,she passed two girls walking at the sidewalk and she quickly stopped a few metres infront of them and the sudden break made a very loud sound that the girls quickly stopped walking and look ahead

Mika turned around took a glance at the two girls walking and she turned back and continued riding towards the north.

Caroline : Wait,wait,was that Mika?

Haruna : But,her helmet is black that one is white…wait..

Caroline :Wait,that was Mika.I know how her bike looks like.

Haruna : Did she buy a new helmet?

Caroline : Wait,if that was Mika I am so gonna kill her for not stopping to talk to us!

Haruna : Whatever it is,walk faster!

Caroline : I cant believe this,if that was Mika.I am gonna kick her and and and

Haruna : Keep walking Caroline!

Mika stopped at the junction near the town and leaned on her bike waiting for the two girls to actually arrive at her spot.Mika smiled when she saw Caroline’s face through her side mirrors when she ignored them

Mika : I am so doomed now.(laughing)

Caroline and Haruna were already approaching the town and as they were walking they saw someone were there leaning on the black bike they saw earlier and as they got closer,they could finally make up the face of the girl infront of them

Mika : *waving

Haruna : Oh my god,it was her!(panting)

Caroline : Mother of all planets.Mika I am going to kill you!!

Mika laughed when Caroline said that while running towards her

Haruna followed Caroline and she quickly gave Mika a long hug .

Caroline : I don’t care,I am joining this cold hug.

They three hugged for a while because it’s been too long since they last met.

Haruna : Mika!Oh my god,I miss you so much.How are you!?You look healthier and happier?....Happier?

Caroline : For sure,she looks alive now.What the heck happened to you?We cant reach you and you didn’t even stop when you saw us?Wait,you stopped but then you ignored us and you don’t even give us a call and what the heck did you think by leaving an not telling us where did you and(inhaling)

Haruna : Caroline,breath in breath out chill!

Mika : Breath breath.Well,you found me didn’t you?

Caroline : Hell yes,we did and thank god Haruna found the photos and I jeorpadize my trust and trust her instinct about coming here!

Haruna :You doubted me!?

Caroline : Wait,no.I didn’t(laughing)

Haruna : Put that aside and now you Mika.Mika you!What happened to you?

Mika : (looking at herself) I am..alive?And here standing infront of my loud friends as they babble stuffs?

Haruna : (laughing) You look better now.

Mika : Come,lets get inside that shop.We cant talk here,outside right?

Caroline : You went straight to Osaka?

Mika  : Yes.

Haruna : On your bike?In this cold weather!?

Mika : Yes.

Caroline : Are you crazy?How long did you spend on the road?!

Mika : Well,triple the time you spent on the bullet train.Maybe less.

Haruna : Oh my god,you must be crazy.

Mika : I swear I am straight now.

Haruna :So,you were with Aya the whole time?

Mika : Yes,I am staying at her shop until today.

Caroline : I am so relieved to see you fit and healthy and goodness,I cant believe we finally found you.

Haruna : Chill Caroline,drink your soup first.

Mika : So,when did you guys arrive?

Haruna : Yesterday morning.We took the earlier train that morning.Caroline didn’t even sleep the night before.

Caroline : I was excited to ride the train!

Haruna : Alright alright,So how are you?

Mika : Im fine.I am so happy to be in Osaka for now.

Haruna : I actually imagined you having swollen eyes and messy hair like last week (laughing)

Caroline :Well,you look so fine Mika.I am so glad about tthis.

Mika : Aya has been a great help these past few days.I am well enough living here.

Haruna : Have you eased your mind?

Mika : (nodding)

Haruna : Are you sure about this?

Mika : Yes.

Caroline : We met Shinn that day

Mika : And?

Haruna : You want to hear about it?

Mika : You want to tell me?

Caroline : (looking at Mika) Are you going to see him?

Mika : Does he know I am here?

Haruna : No,we didn’t tell him.We didn’t even tell Hiiro .

Mika : Thank you.I don’t think I am ready to see him.

Caroline : for 5 days,what happened to you oh my god…

Mika : Caroline,you have asked me the same thing more than 4 times (laughing)

Haruna : Where is your phone?

Mika : Safe in the drawer in my room back in Aya’s shop.

Caroline : (sigh)

Haruna : I have something to tell you.

Mika : I know,go ahead.

Caroline : When we met Shinn ,I think it was  day before yesterday.We saw him while we were on our way from the train station from Nagasaki.Well, to go there you actually passed the memorial park right?

Mika : (nodding)

Haruna : We saw him and I seriously thought it was a ghost…

Mika : A ghost?

Caroline : Literally,he looks super pale and super dry that I instantly offered my lip balm.NO joke.I did.

Haruna : The point is when we asked him why was he there,during the time when nobody usually goes there.Mika,it was around dawn and that place is usually closed.

Caroline : Don’t forget to mention about that place is kinda isolated but we decided to pass by that place just because Haruna wanted the takoyaki along the way.

Haruna : Well,if I didn’t crave for that we wouldn’t bump into him Caroline.

Caroline : Alright,alright,lets go straight to the point.We asked him and then he said he was there for almost 5 hours.

Mika : 5..5 hours?

Haruna : Do you want to know what he did there?

Mika : ….?

Haruna : He was kneeling infront of Rina’s grave.

Caroline : And also Kazuya’s.

Mika : (shocked)What..?

Haruna : I knew you would give me that look.

Caroline : Well,we were shocked ourselves Mika. I don’t know what this will give you but…

Mika : What was he thinking anyway.

Haruna : Don’t you want to see him?

Mika : No.

Caroline : Not yet?

Mika : Not yet.

Haruna : I know how you feel.Well,maybe I can say I understand.You cant just go back to him after everything happened.It would be crazy.Even crazier when it is about you (laughing)

Mika : Thank you for coming all the way from Tokyo anyway.I was waiting for you girls though.

Caroline : You knew we were coming?

Mika : Well,this kind of thing happened before(grins)

Haruna : (looking at Mika)

Haruna knew that Mika needs time to regain back her will and go back to Tokyo.After all,everything that had happened in Tokyo clearly gave her a very big impact physically and emotionally.And she knew Mika herself does not know what to do next when everything is a mess and none can be done,just yet.

Mika : Did you quit your job Haruna?

Haruna spurted her juice when Mika suddenly asked her that.

Caroline : Sweet Neptune,how did you know?

Mika : She woulndt be here is she didn’t quit her job.Right?

Haruna : Good god,yes I quit.Was planning to quit though.Caroline offered to work at her restaurant (grinning)

Caroline : Since this Haruna is very good in managing stuff,why don’t I just ask her to work with me though.

Mika : This is one good news.Should have done it earlier.

Caroline : well,I was not paying attention to the restaurant that much before so…

Haruna : Anyway,we are staying at the sakurako inn.

Mika : The one with the big tree infront of it?

Haruna : Yes!

Caroline : As a matter of fact,this morning…did you pass by the inn?

Mika : I think I did.

Haruna : We heard you.

Mika : (laughing) You mean,you heard the bike?

Caroline : I knew it was your bike (laughing)

Mika : Anyway,where are you going after this?

Caroline : Well,we don’t know.

Haruna : We just thought of coming here to se eyou or maybe drag you back home to Tokyo as soon as possible

Mika : I don’t think the later one is possible,yet.

Caroline : How about if we stop by Aya’s place for dinner?

Mika : Sounds perfect!I’ll see you girls there then!

ODERA RESIDENCE

Tsuzuku : They what?

Minami : They went to Osaka,yesterday morning.Haruna didn’t tell you?

Tsuzuku : Wait,she didn’t (annoyed)

Minami : Did she tell you Meisa?

Meisa : ….Haruna actually did..

Tsuzuku : (turned to Meisa) And you didn’t tell me?

Minami : (laughing) Well,she was planning to keep it a secret I guess that’s why

Meisa : Haruna asked me no to tell you until she found Mika.

Tsuzuku : Did that dj girl followed her?

Minami : Caroline?Yes they went there together.Caroline wanted to take the bullet train.

Meisa : We don’t have to worry much about them.Just give her a call alright Tsuzuku?

Tsuzuku : (leaning on the couch) You girls are driving me crazy

Meisa and Minami: (laughing)

Minami : Are you guys having dinner here?

Meisa : Are you cooking Oka-san?

Minami : Why don’t we order pizza?Since there is only three of us?

Tsuzuku: Sounds great.

Meisa : You and your love for pizza.(poked Tsuzuku)

Tsuzuku : Don’t worry,pizza is number 2.You are the first one.

Meisa : (laughing) I’ll call alright!
