Chapter 74 - Faults

CAFÉ

Haruna read the text Caroline sent to her and she kept reading it from the start because she was so confused with the words and she needs time to understand whatever that she sent in the email.

Haruna : What the heck...

Shinn : (turning to Haruna)         

Haruna : (sigh)

Shinn : Are you not feeling well Odera-san?

Haruna : Eh ?No no.It’s just that.They both went out for a while.

Shinn : Out?

Haruna : Caroline needs to get something from the convenient store.

Shinn : Well,there is one here?

Haruna : Well,when it comes to Caroline.She is choosy.

Shinn : It’s fine then,we can wait here until they return.

Haruna : (sigh) I am so so sorry for this--

Shinn : Don’t fret Odera-san.Caroline is your friend,Mika’s friend and mine too.So we are even,

Haruna :….Thank you so much.

Shinn : So,order up.my treat (smiling)

While on the other side….

Caroline tapped on the number Eiji just sent to her and wait for the receiver to answer

Tsubaki : Hello?

Caroline : Hello Tsubaki-chan.

Tsubaki whom were lying on the couch in Hiiro’s apartment quickly got up and her face abruptly changed when she heard Caroline’s voice on the phone.

Tsubaki : (speechless)

Caroline : oh dear,are you tongue tied?

Tsubaki:…… Caroline….Hello… (shaking)

Caroline : What happened to you and your voice?Are you shivering? I doubt Tokyo is that cold around this time .

Tsubaki : No no..I …I am fine.

Caroline : I would love to meet you Tsubaki,it’s been years since our last “encounter” don’t you think.And while you are in Tokyo,why don’t we meet up?

Tsubaki : (shocked)….That would be…nice.. When will it be? Set a ..set a date.

Caroline : Now.The usual.I’ll see you in 15 minutes and if you are late.You are doomed .(ends the call)

Tsubaki looked at her phone with a very angered face and suddenly she throw her phone on the floor.

Tsubaki : How did she get my number!!?(angry)

NUMBER 76 CAFÉ

Caroline : (smiling at her phone)

Mika : You really love doing this don’t you?

Caroline : Well,who asked her to mess up with the wrong person at the wrong time and repeat the same thing again?I actually find this to be such a good oppurtinity to give some payback to the Tsubaki .

Mika : (sigh) Well..

Caroline  : But,is that all?

Mika : What?

Caroline : You told me that they broke up 3 years ago right?

Mika : Yes.

Caroline : And she didn’t even contact Hiiro at all?

Mika : That was what Shinn told me.Yes,not even once.

Caroline : (laughing) She is completely dead  now.

Mika : Wait,wait.tell me whats going on Caroline or you want me to force it out from your mouth?

Caroline : 3 years Mika,3 years.So many things can happen within the 3 years.

Mika : As in?

Caroline : Do you know why I despise her that 

much?

Mika : Beside the things you told me?

Caroline : A girl like her with such deceitful face and egoistic character should just learn her lesson and not to jeorpadize someone else’s happiness.

Mika : (staring at Caroline)

Caroline : And I find it very interesting to actually met Hiiro and then to have him connected to Tsubaki and such a shame Haruna is unwillingly forced into this circle.She ruined mine,she cant ruin Haruna's

Mika : …..

Caroline : A very rising popular model,appearing in all magazines and she even has her own make up line.A  promising future in Tokyo,suddenly disappeared  and start anew in London and then came back to Tokyo after 3 years?And trying her luck to go back to her previous boyfriend?

Mika : (puzzled)

Caroline : Are you still not getting it Mika..(sigh)

Mika : I am literally lost.

Caroline : She was selfish Mika.Selfish.

Mika : As in…?

Caroline : let me give a question.If  Shinn got an offer to go somewhere really far to expand his career and leave you here.Would you let him?

Mika :….

Caroline : And he accepted the offer despite you are opposing it.what would you feel?

Mika : I would just kill him right away.

Caroline : Now Imagine what Hiiro felt.

Mika’s face changed suddenly when she finally got a grip on what Caroline was implying and she was left speechless.

Caroline :And to add some spice in this context,she was pregnant that time.

Mika : Hah?What?

Caroline : Pregnant Mika.Pregnant.I guess it was the right or maybe the wrong time I don’t want to know.Going to London could be one of the way she can hide that bump from her boyfriend,which was unfortunately Hiiro

Mika : Now,this is very very interesting.

Caroline : Are you gonna ask who’s baby she was carrying? (lifting her eyebrows)

Mika : I suppose not Hiro’s…?

Caroline : Definitely not his ,Mika.If it was his,why would she run away without telling him?I doubt even Hiro does not know about this at all.But,not for long.

Mika : Then?Whose?

Caroline :You know models always  goes to club and spend the time with the djs and stuff.And if you can remember Yasu,one of the djs I worked with before?

Mika : Yasu..Yasu.It that the guys who loves to wear a cap?That studded yellow cap thingy?

Caroline : (nodding)

Mika : Wait..are you saying that the child is Yasu’s and Tsubaki’s?

Caroline : Well,yes.But unfortunately,Tsubaki miscarriage on her forth month because of her being so stress and busy with her work.

Mika : Did Yasu followed her to London?

Caroline : As a matter of fact.yes.Thats why he stopped working with me that time and he was kind enough to tell everything to me.*winks

Mika : I am literally speechless now.What kind of world am I living in anyway (rubbing her forehead)

Suddenly the door to the the café opened and a lady dressed in black leather pants,a long white singlet with a black denim jacket  walked in.The lady had her hair tied in a high neat bun and she was wearing a face mask and a black shade.

Caroline : She was indeed trying to cover herself eh..

The lady looked around and when her eyes spot Caroline,she walked slowly towards her not wanting anyone to notice her and she quickly sat infront of Caroline.

Caroline : Hisashiburi na Tsubaki-chan (grinning)

Tsubaki : (removing her shades)

Mika watched at Tsubaki took of her face moskand untie her hair and let it loose around her shoulder.She even arranged her hair before finally turning to Caroline.

Tsubaki : I see you are very healthy and well Caroline-san

Caroline : Never been better.

Tsubaki : And who is this pretty lady here?(turning to Mika)

Caroline : Someone way better than you I can promise you that.This is Akizuki Mika.

Tsubaki : (slightly bowing) Nice to meet you Akizuki-san.

Mika : *bowing

Caroline : So,let me just be fast .Why are you here back in Tokyo?

Tsubaki : thank you for your warm welcome Caroline.Really appreciate that.And I wonder how did you get my number.

Caroline : I don’t fly everywhere and leaves dirty trails Tsubaki.And plus,you weren’t that smart by not changing your number while you are in Japan.

Tsubaki : (annoyed)

Caroline : I didn’t know that you were dating Mizuhara Hiiro.

Tsubaki : (shocked) How did you --

Caroline : I know everything Tsubaki .”Everything”.

Tsubaki : (staring at Mika)Why is she here then?I thought this would be just between us” best friends”?

Caroline : Because she needs to.

Tsubaki : Hah are you for real?Someone as fragile as her shouldn’t join our usual “date” here if she cant handle the pressure of being around these kind of life ( smirking)

Caroline : I dare you to say that again.

Tsubaki : Whatever it is.why did you call me?

Caroline : I see you get your voice back?I thought you were cold and shivering when I called you?(sarcastic smile)

Tsubaki : …it was nothing..

Caroline : Why did you come here?

Tsubaki : ….

Caroline : Why did you return to Tokyo?

Tsubaki : Because I feel like to?

Caroline : If you come back to get back with your ex and pretend nothing happened 3 years ago  you better save it before I tear your plastic cake face and feed them to the monkeys in the zoo.

Tsubaki : What does my ex got to do with you ?

Caroline : Well,I don’t have time to explain that woman.But if you ever gonna beg Hiiro to get back together with you.You better forget it.

Tsubaki ; And what if I say I came back to Tokyo only for him?

Caroline : I guess you have forgotten the fact that I know everything that happened Caroline.

Tsubaki : Why are you interefering with my life?

Caroline : Because you interfered with mine before,and now you are repeating them again.

Tsubaki : I am not interfering with your life you damn woman.And the heck,why must you drag this stupid fragile woman this time?I don’t even feel like talking by looking at her dumb face.(annoying tone)

Caroline : Hold the phone baby,you just triggered the bomb.

Before Tsubaki could digest whatever Caroline were saying Mika smiled and leaned really close to Tsubaki and literally pulled her collar.

Mika  : Listen here your pretty cake face ,you and your fake dignity and pride should just be flushed together with the waste and be gone. Someone like you should just stop jeopardizing someone else’s happiness and you should know that no matter what you do ,I am not gonna let your  ruin Haruna’s happiness.

Tsubaki tried to pull her collar off Mika’s hand and when she finally did,she looked at Mika with a disbelief face .

Caroline : I warned you.(sarcastic)

Tsubaki : Who the hell is this Haruna?

Caroline : Someone that Hiiro likes.

Tsubaki  : (shocked) Wait,no.No one is ever gonna take Hiiro away from me.Why is this even happening.

Mika : Fate really played with us dear Tsubaki.It was such a sad thing to know you weren’t as kind as your name sounds.

Tsubaki: Shut up you woman.Why are you even included in this?

Mika : Because Haruna is my friend and having you interfering makes me wonder why are you still alive.

Tsubaki turned to Caroline and she was annoyed when Caroline was smiling right at her.

Caroline : I told her everything Tsubaki.Every single thing.

Tsubaki : (shocked) Why did--

Caroline : Secrets are meant to be broken,but they remained secrets until the time has come don’t you think?

Tsubaki : I don’t care who the hell is Haruna or whatever you are gonna do but as a matter of fact I am going to make Hiiro want me again and we will be together.And I am going to tell him my side of the story.And I know he will believe me no matter what.

Caroline : OH did you forget the part you got pregnant and ran away to London with Yasu and then using the excuse to expand your modelling career so that Hiiro wont keep bugging your with such lame questions?

Tsubaki : (shocked)

Caroline : And the fact that baby was not even his but Yasu’s.But you guys were a couple back then.Oh wow,such a complicated fairytale don’t you think?

Tsubaki : …

Caroline : I suppose you ditched Yasu too?

Tsubaki :……

Caroline : Listen her you damn heartless woman,Yasu is such a good friend and I thank god  he found someone else instead of marrying you egoistic selfish brat.All you care is satisfaction.And none are about feelings.

Tsubaki : (laughing) I didn’t expect you to get that right.It’s true.I have never really love Yasu. I doubt I even realize what does love mean.All I want is to be wanted.And being with Hiiro is much much more wonderful than Yasu.Yasu indeed was just dj back then.And Hiiro is every girl’s dream.And I ,Tsubaki are chosen to be with him…. Whatever it is,I wont let you get me this time Caroline .I came backt to  Tokyo for good and I came back here to start anew.

Tsubaki stood up and in swift she put on her black shades.

Tsubaki : I hope I wont have to see you guys again.You can do whatever you want to Caroline-san.But you are not gonna make me give HIiro up.I love him and I want to be him again.Correction,I’ll love him with all my might and I’ll make him love me.

Tsubaki didn’t even bow nor said anything else after,she walked away from the table and left the café.
