Chapter 75 - Goodbye

Mika : …now what?

Caroline eyed Tsubaki who walked towards the oppsosite of the road and until she disappeared from her sight

Caroline : You have Hiiro’s number?

Mika : (staring at Caroline)

Caroline : (smiling) You have it or you don’t?

Mika : Are we going anywhere else after this?

Caroline : (dialing Haruna’s number)

Mika watched as Caroline wait for Haruna to answer her call and then ..

Caroline : Haruna!

Haruna : Damn it,Caroline.Where did you guys go?I am dying of boredom here and I don’t even know if Shinn can cope up with me!

Caroline : I need you to do me a favor.Anyway,pass the phone to Shinn please.

Haruna : What the heck are talking about?What is happening?

Caroline : No no,nothing.Just pass the phone to Shinn please.Mika wants to talk him,Mika’s phone died and she didn’t even bring her powerbank.

Haruna : (puzzled) Shinn?

Shinn whom were playing with his phone looked up when Haruna suddenly put ouf her phone

Haruna :Mika wants to talk to you.(handing her phone to Shinn)

Shinn : Eh? Mika?Why didn’t she call me ?

Haruna : Her phone died and I don’t even know why…

Shinn : Hello?

Caroline : Don’t say anything and pretend this is Mika (laughing)

Shinn : (coughing) Alright,what is happening?

Caroline : Im gonna kidnap Mika for a while.And you please call take Haruna back to her house safe and sound alright.If anyting happens her…Mika would do the honor to kill you for me.

Shinn : (laughing) Anything then.But you guys owe me a story then.I’ll take her home.No worries.

Caroline : Damn,this is why Mika loves you eh(sarcastic tone)

Shinn : (laughing)

Caroline : Alright,see ya bye!(ends the call)

Shinn handed the phone back to Haruna and she looked at him with a very confused face.

Shinn : I shall send you home then Odera-san.(smiles)

Haruna : Heh?(confused)

HIIRO’S APARTMENT

Hiiro was making a drink for himself in the kitchen when Tsubaki came in.

Tsubaki : Hiiro?

Hiiro : (shocked)

Tsubaki : You are here!?

Hiiro stopped stirring his drink and quickly went out of the kitchen but Tsubaki was already halfway towards the kitchen by that time.

Tsubaki : (looking at Hiiro)

HIiro : Where did you go?

Tsubaki said nothing and went straight to him and hug him;

Tsubaki : Never thought I am gonna see you again .

Hiiro : …

Tsubaki : How are you?I miss you so much.I was worried when you didn’t answer my calls.Did you turn on your phone.What happened to you ?

Hiiro : Nothing.Something is wrong with my phone.

Tsubaki : Cant believe this.You are here infront of me!(smiling)

Hiiro : Tsubaki.

Tsubaki : What?Why whats wrong?

Hiiro : We need to talk about this whole thing.

Tsubaki : What else is there to talk about?I am here again.And we are complete once again.(smiling)

Hiiro : No,we need to talk.

HIiro pulled Tsubaki’s hand from his shoulder softly,and he walked towards the couch and sat.

Tsubaki : (puzzled)

Hiiro : Come here Tsubaki.

Tsubaki : What is going on Hiiro?

Hiiro : Why did you come back?

Tsubaki : (shocked)

Hiiro : (staring at Tsubaki)

Tsubaki : I miss you Hiiro.

Hiiro : (sigh)

Tsubaki :Don’t you wanna say you miss me too.

Tsubaki ran her fingers through her long lavender ash colour hair and arranged them neatly behing her back before turning to Hiroto.

Hiiro : The thing is--

Tsubaki : You don’t want me here?

Hiiro : Listen first Tsubaki.

Tsubaki : What?

Hiiro : Is there anything you want to tell me?

Tsubaki : Such as?

Hiiro : Anyhing that you haven’t tell me?Anything?

Tsubaki : No,nothing.Why are asking me this Hiiro you are making me scared.

Hiiro : Alright then.Just asking.

Tsubaki : I don’t like your question.

HIiro : First,I don’t want to hurt your feelings.And I don’t want any of us to get hurt either.

Tsubaki : What are you talking about Hiiro..

HIiro : We have nothing in between anymore Tsubaki.In fact,we had nothing at all,since you left.

Tsubaki : But I am here.I came back to Tokyo just for you.

HIiro : I wish you would say that  3 years ago.

Tsubaki : Hiiro,listen to me.I love you and I know you love me too and--

Hiiro :Tsubaki,you don’t have to say that and you know that if you continue,one of us will get hurt.

Tsubaki : Why are you so different now Hiiro?

Hiiro : We are no different.

Tsubaki : Are you saying that you don’t love me anymore?

Hiiro : What about you?

Tsubaki : (shocked)

Hiiro : Did you really love me back then?

Tsubaki : …..why are you saying this..

Tsubaki quickly pulled her hand that had been tugging on Hiiro’s arm and her face changed.

Hiiro : I am not gonna be mad at you Tsubaki despite whatever you that you felt about me back then.But first,people change.And feelings change too

Tsubaki : But,I really love you Hiiro and you cant say that you have changed just like that.

Hiiro : Sometimes,all we need is the someone’s existence to make us realize that the past is past,and the present it what is real.

Tsubaki : Are you telling me you found someone else?

HIiro : What I am saying is,she was the one who found me and since that.I was alive.

Tsubaki’s face changed when Hiiro said that and in instant she knew Hiiro was talking about the girl Caroline and Mika mentioned earlier.

Hiiro : It sounds irrational but,fate  are something you cant expect.

Tsubaki : Stop everything Hiiro.Shut up.Dont continue.Why are you leaving me when I have left everything in London to come to you!?

Hiiro : I am not leaving you.But instead,you left me before Tsubaki.I was right there all along.

Tsubaki : …..But I am here right now …we can work this out.

Hiiro : I am sorry Tsubaki.I doubt I am the one for you Tsubaki.If I were,I would have known.And you would have returned earlier.

Tsubaki : Why are you saying this…

Tsubaki were already tearing up and she quickly wipe her tears and stood up.

Hiiro : Tsubaki.

Tsubaki : Why are you doing this to me Hiiro?I love you all along and you are doing this me?You know how hard it was to make up my mind to finally come here and get back to you

HIiro : Tsubaki,listen

Tsubaki : You know how hard I think all nights to make up my mind to finally return to Tokyo!?

Hiiro :….

Tsubaki : Do you know?

Hiiro : I ..might now know how hard but…one thing I am sure.If it was love,you wouldn’t even need to think about coming back to me.

Tsubaki: (shocked)

Hiiro : And you wouldn’t even leave everything here,everything you had here at the first place Tsubaki.

Tsubaki :…..

Hiiro: You can stay here if you want  to,if you have no place to go. But,I have to leave.

Tsubaki : Hiiro..why are you saying all these stuff to me…

Tsubaki cant hold her tears and she kept rubbing her head .

Hiiro stood up and handed his handkerchief to Tsubaki.

Hiiro : I am sorry and even if you didn ask for forgiveness,I forgive you Tsubaki. I know everything and I don’t want to hurt us more by bragging about that

Tsubaki : (shocked)…

Tsubaki was speechless when Hiiro said that and her heart almost skipped a beat when she finally got a grip on what was Hiiro referring to.

Hiiro was already halfway towards the door and then he stopped and turned around.

Hiiro : I am sorry for your lost Tsubaki.And forgive me for not being there when you lost your child.But,I know you were strong enough to get through everything.Good bye Tsubaki.

Hiiro continued towards the door and closed the door behind him as soon as he got out

Hiiro leaned on the door and let out a heavy sigh.

Mika : You did great Hiiro.

Hiiro looked up towards Mika whom were leaning on the wall  beside him,Caroline was standing at the opposite of Mika,both of the girls were looking straight at him.

Caroline : I think,we better go before that woman ran after Hiiro like a stupid crazy maniac woman who just wont stop till she gets her…whatever.

Hiiro : Can we…(sigh)

Mika : Yes?

Hiiro : Can we stop somewhere?I am actually hungry (grinning)

Caroline : Damn,this guy is something…

Mika : Lets feed his hungry self then?
