Chapter 117 - Aomori

AROUND NOON

Mika was sound asleep on the bed after taking a shower and Shinn was at onsen area looking out at the garden outside

Ishia : She vomited!?

Shinn : While she was eating.*talking on the phone

Ishia : Oh my god,Mika could be pregnant!

Shinn : Wait,wait. That’s too soon?

Ishia : oh come on Shinn,that’s normal. What have you done to Mika that she got pregnant so soon.But no,this is not a bad news. You have been married to her for almost 3 months.

Shinn : I think I should take her to a clinic somewhere around here.

Ishia : Buy her some plums or anything that she craves for.If she is pregnant,becareful not to make her throw tantrums like you always do okay? I’ll kill you if you made her mad even a little. Don’t mess with pregnant women Shinn.Especially when its Mika.

Shinn : Wait wait,let me take a note book and write all of these down

Ishia : Shut it Shinn. So,what is Mika doing now?

Shinn : She’s been asleep since 10 just now.

Ishia : Seriously,I think she is pregnant. Make sure you take her to the clinic to check!

Shinn : Don’t worry,your precious Mika will be taken care with lots of love by her one and only romantic and caring yet handsome husband named Mizuhara Shinn.

Ishia : Whatever Shinn.(laughing)

Shinn : Alright,Im gonna wake her up. I’ll call again alright,Ishia-san.

Ishia : Take care of her Shinn!

Shinn : Hai hai.

Shinn ended the call and turn to Mika.

Shinn : (holding his chest) Why am I suddenly nervous …

Caroline was looking around the tea shop waiting for Takeru whom went to the restroom for a while. Her newly dyed brunette hair is tied let down around her shoulder. Caroline decided to get rid of the long hair after getting married and she finally returned to her usual natural hair colors. She wore a long skirt and a fitted top since she’s been having back ache and wearing any tights or jeans would probably made her feel uncomfortable.Plus,she was on her honeymoon.

Caroline : (looking at her watch)

Caroline sighed when she realized that Takeru is not even here yet.She searched her bag for her phone to call him but suddenly ..

Takeru : Miss me already?

Caroline turned around and saw Takeru smiling at her.

Caroline : oh no,not really. I really enjoyed waiting here doing nothing.

Takeru : (laughing)

Caroline : Where did you go anyway.I don’t think I can walk any further my back is so so in pain.And I am so so thirsty and--

Before Caroline could finish her sentence,Takeru handed her a can of her favourite chocolate drink and a box of blueberry cheese cake.

Takeru : Feeling hungry ?(lifting his eyebrows)

Caroline :Okay,you are forgiven .(laughing)

Takeru : Come lets go back to the inn.

Takeru took Caroline’s arm and both of them head to the inn they are staying which is less than 5 minutes of walking from the shop.

Caroline : (munching on the cake)

Takeru : Is it delicious?

Caroline : (showing the “okay” sign)

Takeru : How’s your back pain?

Caroline : (sigh) I don’t know. Cant this back pain wait for another 2 days? Wait till we are back in Tokyo and done with our honeymoon.I feel like a pregnant woman walking side by side with my legs being all numb.

Takeru laughed watching as Caroline eat and nag at the same time about her back pain.

Caroline : Are you going for a dip?

Takeru : Care to join me ? (winks)

HOKKAIDO

CLINIC

Doctor : So,you’ve been vomiting ever since?

Mika : (nodding)

Shinn : It happens whenever she eats.A lot.

Mika : Shut up Shinn.(pokes Shinn)

Shinn :Could it be indigestion?

Doctor : (laughing)

Mika : (staring at the doctor)I hope it’s just indigestion. But this time,it’s a bit…wild.

Suddenly the nurse from the connecting room walked into the doctor’s room and handed the doctor a paper.

The doctor thanked the nurse and she began checking the results of the checkings on Mika.

Doctor : Now this explains everything.

Shinn : So,anything wrong with my wife Doctor?

Doctor : How long have you guys been married again?

Mika : nearing to 4 months.

Doctor : And you guys are here in Hokkaido for…?

Shinn : Honeymoon of course.

Mika : So..whats wrong with me actually? Oh god,I am already starving

Doctor : The problem is…there is no problem

Shinn and Mika both is staring at the doctor as she paused and look at them

Doctor : It’s just that I have to congratulate both of you because you both are gonna be parents !

Mika stared at the Doctor as if she just spoke in an alien language which she needs time to digest every words that came out from the doctor’s mouth.While Shinn on the other hand froze as the doctor finished her sentences and none of them both.

Mika : (speechless)

Shinn : Im gonna..what..wait..what?

Mika :I thought you said I am pregnant (laughing wryly)

Doctor : Mizuhara Mika,yes I did.And you are actually 4 weeks pregnant already!

Shinn : That’s one month..

Mika keep blinking her eyes while looking at the doctor as if she is trying to wake up from a dream

Shinn turned to Mika and laughed a little when she caught Mika looking at her stomach.

Doctor : (laughing) I get this a lot. Anyway,don’t worry.It is normal to be vomiting during the early weeks of first pregnancy.  But then,it will be fine when you are nearing to 2-3 months. But it differs according to the people. Some will have this vomiting up till the 9 months. But some will have only during the first trimester. So don’t worry much. Mika’s is healthy,and everything is fine. All you need is… to eat more healthy food! And you are good to go!(smiling)

Mika : Im pregnant (staring at the doctor)

Shinn : She’s pregnant(speechless)
