Chapter 55 - Sayonara

LATE NIGHT [ 19/12/2012]

After Mika got the news,she knew being strong is the only she can do at that moment.She has prepared herself for the news but it seems that all the walls she build to overcome her  fear had fallen. Easier and faster than she thought. She really thought she can take the news withouth breaking down but after all,a news like this is not something you can bear to hear. Mika had lost her mother and then her father before.Both really had teared her up and cut her heart really deep.But,the news that she got that night was something she thought she would expect,but it turned out it was not. Losing him was another side of her story.

Doctor : Kazuya was a great doctor Akizuki-san.I am ..sorry *bows.

Mika said nothing when the doctor left her alone in the room.Yuumi,the nurse bowed to her and she knew she would give Mika some time alone with Kazuya,the lifeless body of Kazuya.

Mika stared at Kazuya’s calm face.

Mika : You don’t look like you are dead Kazuya…..

Mika went closer to Kazuya and look at his face.Kazuya’s face looked really calm,as if he was still alive.He looks as if he was ready to leave and nothing looks wrong as if he was healthy.Except his lips were quite pale and he stil had his beanie that Mika sew for him.

Mika : I thought I was ready for this..I thought I was Kazuya..

Mika took a seat near Kazuya and lean close to Kazuya ‘s face.

Mika : Good night,my love.For the very last time.

Mika kissed Kazuya forehead before covering his face with the white blanket.

OUTSIDE

Yuumi : It is such a sad night….(sigh)

Miko : Very.we never had this kind of situation.I mean we always ,but not when two patient died almost at the same time and their room are next to each other.

Yuumi : Not a coincidence at all.(sigh)

Miko : Rina-chan and Kazuya was my favorite patients here.

Yuumi ; (wiping her tears) I should get the report done

Miko : Are you sure you can do it?

Yuumi’s hands were trembling because she was still in schock as she was still new as a nurse,compared to Miko,she had been working as a nurse for almost 5 years.Yuumi did not move and the report in her hands suddenly slipped out of her hands and Miko quickly catch it.

Miko  : I’ll do it okay.You take a rest(smiles)

Miko quickly took Rina’s medical report and did a recheck at the time of death and then she took Kazuya’s and did the same

Miko : Eh..this cant be true..

Yuumi : Why?

Miko : They shared the same birth date and…

Yuumi : Are you sure?(shocked)

Yuumi quickly got up and look at the reports

Yuumi :“ Akizuki rena,birth date…wait.. Kazuya…birth date…Oh my,it is the same…”

Miko : As if God has written something for them.

Yuumi : Their time of death are only an hour apart.And the fact Rina was the first and then Kazuya.It seems like a gentle death don’t you think?

Miko : gentle death?

Yuumi : Rina and Kazuya were very close right,so I guess God really took care of Rina so that she wont be heart broken if Kazuya left first.

Miko : (shocked) I guess…tonight is a night to remember.

Yuumi : A sad night to remember Miko-san.

Yuumi eyed the doors for the 009 and 010 ward and looked down.

Yuumi : I wont be seeing you both again then.(sigh)

NEXT MORNING

The Nagasaki memorial parked were quite windy .there are several people visiting the place and everyone are busy giving their respect to the the graves of ther loved ones,Including Shinn and Mika.

Shinn stared at the tomb written Rina’s name ,he did nothing but stare at it.

Shinn : I miss you already Rina.

Shinn suddenly realized someone was standing at the opposite site and looked up as he saw a girl infront of a grave.

After a while Shinn bowed to give his respect and turned around to leave.He caught a glance at the girl who was standing at the opposite of him.

Mika : I bought your favorite flower Kazuya.I mean,our favorite(smiles)

Mika took her time there and she realized she need to go back.She quickly bowed to Kazuya's grave and turn around to walk out from the park

As she walked pass the entrance door ,she suddenly she saw a guy standing near a car.The guy had a blonde hair and he was wearing a black shades.She thought she had seen this guy before.

Both of them exchanged glances and that very moment none of them knew,that it is not their first meeting nor their last one.
