Chapter 18- Preparations

MORNING

Mika : Im going to work!

Haruna : Becareful alright!

Minami : Not eating first?

Mika : It’s okay Oka-san!I’ll eat at Narumi’s

Minami : Alright,ride carefully Mika-san!

Mika closed the door and went outside but then she realized there was a car parked outside of the house and a guy was leaning on the car facing her.

Mika : (looking at the guy) You must be kidding me.

Shinn : A good day for a drive don’t you think?(smiling)

Mika : What the hell are you doing here?

Shinn : I thought it would be nice if I could pick you up from your house and send you home tonight since you wont be able to ride your bike in that dress later on.

Mika put her helmet on her bike and went outside.

Mika : Since when do you learn to use your brain Mizuhara-san?(sarcastic tone)

Shinn : There is no need to be sarcastic now.It’s a very beautiful morning and consider me being sunny and I am being very nice to give you a lift.

Mika : (looking inside the car) You are driving?

Shinn : I know how to drive .

Mika : (laughing)Oh really

Haruna : Mika!!!!You left your phone--eh?

Shinn saw Haruna and waved at her.

Haruna : Mika?Are you alright?

Haruna opened the door and went outside and stood beside Mika.

Shinn :Good Morning*bows

Haruna : Oh my god,its Mizuhara Shinn (looking at Shinn)

Mika : (ignoring the excited Haruna)

Haruna : Okasan!Okasan!Come here!!!!!

Minami appeared the door a few seconds after that.She quickly removed her apron and went outside.

Haruna :oka-san!It’s Mizuhara Shinn!

Minami : (shocked) Oh my god,I cant believe it.

Shinn : (bowing to Minami)Sorry to disturb both of you early in the morning.

Minami : NO no no,its okay.I am so delighted to finally see you in person!

Shinn : I am pleased that you can recognize me.I haven’t got your names .

Haruna : Odera Haruna.And this is my mother.Odera Minami.

Minami : Nice to meet you Mizuhara-san.Are you here to pick Mika-san?

Shinn : Was about to ask about that,Mind if I give Mika a lift to work?I’ll promise to send her back tonight before 11.

Haruna : (laughing) You made her sound like a little kid.So nice of you to pick her up Mizuhara-san.

Minami : That would be great.I was worried about her going home alone late at night.Thank you so much Mizuhara-san.

Mika : (cough)

Shinn : Not a problem at all.

Mika :Oh shut up.Get inside Haruna.Dont let this brat’s vibes harm you.Okasan,see you tonight alright?

Haruna : That is mean Mika,Very very mean.

Shinn : We shall get going then?

Haruna : See you tonight Mika!Oh your phone,here!

Shinn opened the passenger seat’s door and making a gesture for Mika to go inside.

Mika : (sigh)

KABUKI PALACE

Masashi : Good Morning Ishia-san!

Ishia : Good Morning !You are up early!

Tora : Went for a jog just now.

Shou : A good morning to jog indeed.

Ishia : With Shinn?

Tora : Shinn?Eh no,with Suzu.

Ishia : Suzu? Eh?(looking around)

SUzu : Good Morning Ishia-san(smiling)

Ishia : Now this is weird.Have you seen Shinn?I haven’t seen him yet.

Tora :He went to his own apartment yesterday right?

Ishia :And he didn’t ask you to pick him up Suzu?

Suzu : He didn’t call or text me at all.

Ishia : This is weird.

Tora : Probably plan on driving by his own?

Suzu : Wow,that’s new.

Ishia : I am worried now.

IN THE CAR

Shinn : (holding the steering)

Mika : (quiet)

Shinn : At first,I didn’t know you were the one who rides the black superbike.

Mika : (turned to Shinn) What do you know about me.

Shinn : Oh well at least I know about that one.

Mika : (ignoring Shinn)

Shinn : How long have you been riding that bike?

Mika : Do you have to know.

Shinn : It is a simple question,not a hard one.

Mika : 2-3 years.

Shinn : that long?

Mika :Yes.

Shinn : Are you afraid?

Mika : NO.

Shinn : I doubt you are afraid of anything.

Mika : We all have something we are afraid off as a human.Now,drive quietly.

Shinn : A good morning indeed today (grinning)

KABUKI PALACE

Ishia and the boys were talking to each other when Shinn drove into the porch and all of them were shocked to see Shinn driving his very own car after so long.

Tora: Shinn’s car? Right?

Ishia : Shinn is driving?

Tora : Damn this guy  sure have changed a lot.

Shou : And I think we know all know the reason behind this.Or maybe.

Shinn parked the car and before he could do anything Mika opened the door and went out

Tora : No kidding

Shou  : (laughing) I have to get used to this indeed.

Ishia : Good Morning Mika-san!

Mika : Ishia-san,good morning.

Suzu : Did-- Shinn picked you up or something?

Mika : I guess some wires got disconnected in his brain.

Suzu : (laughing) Indeed I think

Ishia : He went to your house?

Mika : And I wonder how he got my address though.(annoyed)

Shinn : Good morning.

Ishia :Ah yes,good morning Shinn.Have you eaten your breakfast.

Shinn : Yes I did.Have you?

Ishia : yes yes,we did indeed.

Suddenly Shinn’s phone and rang his excused himself to answer he call

Mika : Haih,what a morning

Tora : Masashi ,have you called Mia-san?

Masashi : Oh damn,I have forgotten!

Tora : Haih,typical you call her fast!She didn’t know I am here and Shou too.

Masashi : Why didn’t you tell her earlier? *smacks Tora’s head

AFTERNOON

TEA ROOM

Mika : Alright alright *writing

Mika : He wont be free until next week because he will have to be in Kyoto for personal reasons.So I suppose he will available next month.And I will call you again to reconfirm,will that be okay? Alright,alright thank you.

Mika ended the call and sipped her tea.

Hiiro : Konbawa Mika-san

Mika : Konbawa(smiles)

Hiiro sat infront of Mika and pour himself a cup of tea.

Hiiro : How are you?

Mika : I am fine,How about you?

Hiiro : Thank you for asking.I am fine.You look tired though.You should get some rest.

Mika : I look tired?I don’t feel tired at all (laughing)

Hiiro : Impressive indeed.No offense but I am surprised to see you today.And you actually lasted this long.

Mika : No offense too, but I have been hearing that more than thousands time now

Hiiro : (laughed) I see.Oh well,you have been working for Shinn for almost 3 months now.The last time that someone lasts this long was 2 years ago.

Mika : Oh really?

Hiiro : So,which type are you?

Mika : Type?

Hiiro : I thought girls have classifications? Gyaru? Kawai?Gothic? Town girl? Yankee?Or wait,or you don’t have that anymore eh?

Mika : (laughed) You are so funny.I must say I am none of the above

Hiiro : Hmmm,this is weird.Have you been to Harajuku during their festivals?

Mika : Quite a few times?

Hiiro : Have you been to the gyaru shops there?My sis ter oves going there I don’t even know why

Mika : Maybe your sister is fan of the gyaru fashion? I find that no surprising.How old is your sister?

Hiiro : 18.

Mika : Now that make sense.

Hiiro: (rubbing his head)

Mika : So I heard you compose songs?

Hiiro : Ah yes,I suppose Ishia-san told you that?

Mika : Yes she did.What kind of songs?

Hiiro : I compose mostly the background songs for the perfomances.You know when you act along with the song you compose,you are more indulged and it may look a bit more real.

Mika : *nodding.

Hiiro : I’ll show you my studio one day.

Mika : You will?

Hiiro : Why not?It would be fun showing you around (smiling)

Mika : It would be nice.

Hiiro : So,are you ready for tonight?

Mika : (sigh) I guess so ,not looking forward to it.

Hiiro : No worries,most of us will be there too.And we will be dancing too but you can just escape it and spend your time at the backyard.

Mika : Backyard?

Hiiro : Shinohara’s place is a big mansion if you happened no to know. There will be lots of rooms and the hall will be at the centre of the mansion. And and,the backyard is very big and they even have a big waterfall in the middle.A good spot for hiding I must say.

Mika : Sounds interesting indeed.

Hiiro : Maybe you can consider my suggestions? (laughing)

Mika : Noted.

AS they were talking ,suddenly Hana,one of the maids came in and told Mika that Shinn was looking for her.

Mika : (sigh) He could have just give me a call.Thank you Hana.I’ll see you around then Hiiro.Thank you for the nice chat.

Hiiro : My pleasure,Mika.(smiles)

SHINN’s room

Shinn : It’s gonna be a long night tonight.

Mika : (spurted her water) What?

Shinn : I mean literally.

Mika : You made it sound so creepy.

Shinn : (reading his book)

Mika is arranging Shinn’s scripts and putting in at one place.She went to the cupboard to put them inside,when she opened the cupboard a book fell and Mika didn’t get to catch it.Mika put the papers on the shelf and bent to take the book.She then turned to Shinn to ask where should she put the book but then Shinn was already asleep.

Mika : (sigh) How the heck did he fell asleep there.

The door to the garden was opened and Shinn fell asleep with his body leaning at one of the sliding door,facing the outdoor.

Mika picked the book but then she realized a photo had came out from between the pages.She picked it and looked at the photo.It was a photo of a girl,with a long brunette hair and she was smiling as if she was smiling to Mika.The photo looks alive Mika thought.

Mika : Such a pretty girl..

Mika quickly put it back and closed the cupboard and went to check on Shinn.Mika bent a little to check is Shinn is still sleeping.

Mika  : How can he sleep when I am bloody worried about tonight’s agenda(annoyed)

Mika went outside and sat at the balcony facing the garden.Now wonder Shinn loves sitting here,the sound of the birds chirping,the sound of the water and the strong wind are really calming. Mika just sat there and did nothing

Suddenly she heard Shinn moving at she quickly turned around and she was shocked to see Shin looking straight at her.

Mika : What?

Shinn said nothing but stare at her.

Mika :You have to stop doing that Mizuhara-san.

Shinn : Can I ask something?

Mika : Is this your habit?Asking questions all of a sudden?

Shinn : yes or no?

Mika : Fine,what?

Shinn : Where are you from?Originally?

Mika : What do you mean?

Shinn : Where were you born?

Mika :Why must you know that?

Shinn : Mika,can you just answer the question?

Mika :Aomori.

Shinn : When did you move to Tokyo?

Mika : 18 years ago.

Shinn : 18 years ago.That is long.Where is your parents?

Mika : I don’t want to answer that.

Shinn : …

Mika : (looking at the garden)

Shinn : Alright,Im sorry for asking that one.

Mika : Nothing though.

Shinn : How many boyfriends do you have before this?

Mika : You can stop asking questions now(annoyed)

Shinn : (laughing) Im joking alright.Come lets get ready now.

Mika : (looking at her watch) it’s already 5?that’s fast.

Shinn : Im gonna go to Shouji for my suit.You better go to Ishia-san so that she could help your get dress.

Mika said nothing when Shinn lleft the room.

Mika : I think I have seen that girl in the photo….but I cant remember where.
