Chapter 23-Pendant

Shinn walked very fast to that he woulndt miss Mika.But he didn’t know which direction she went.He took a right turn and and  he was relieved when  he saw Mika walking  slowly.

Mika : (mumbling) Im gonna kill him.yes,I should kill Ena too…damn my head is spinning.Oh my god.Green tea would really really help.Or maybe ice cream.or takoyaki.Wait,I want monjayaki.

Shinn : Mika!

Mika was so into her mumbling and her head was spinning that she didn’t realize when Shinn shouted her name

Shinn : Is she deaf or what (running towards Mika)

Shinn  ran to her and stood infront her.Mika stopped mumbling and looked up .

Shinn : Didn’t you hear me calling your name Mika?

Mika was half conscious that she didn’t say anything .She just look at Shinn and said nothing

Mika : Oh hello…hai..hai?Eh no.Konbawa.

Shinn : Why didn’t you come to my room?

Mika hands was on mid air and she kept pointing at the front.

Shinn : What?

Mika : I ..I..have…to go…back.I mean..home.Yes .I’ll see…you tomo..tomorrow..I mean..Monday yes..Monday.Wait..Monday is--

Shinn quickly grabbed her hands and looked at her.

Shinn : You don’t look well Mika.

Mika : My head hurts…really really bad…I don’t even…know..wh..what Im saying.

Mika tried to free her hands from Shinn,and when she did,Shinn quickly grabbed both of her hands again

Shinn : Oh my god,your hands are so warm.We need to get you to the palace.

Mika : Eh…no no no…I want to go home--

Before she could finish her sentecnce,Mika suddenly collapse on Shinn and faint.

Shinn : Her whole body is warm(shocked).Oh my now I am worried.

Shinn slowly carred her to the palace and by the time he arrived Ishia was waiting at the door.

Ishia :what happened to her!?

Shinn : Ena?

Ishia : She left already. Oh my god,Mika-san!

Shinn : She fainted.Can you call Nana-san?Her body is getting hotter and I doubt it will ease down anytime soon.Call Nana-san.

Ishia : Alright,alright.I’ll run to her office.You put her in your room  first!

Ishia saw Hana and Megumi walking in the hallway and quickly called them

Ishia: Megumi !Hana!Come here

Megumi and Hana was shocked to see Shinn carrying the unconscious Mika to his room and quickly ran to Ishia.

Megumi : Ishia-san!What happened to Mika?

Ishia :She fainted.You go and get some cold water and the water pillow and Hana,go help Megumi!

Hana and Megumi rushed to the kitchen and Ishia went to Nana’s office as quick as she can.

Shinn put Mika on his mattress and removed her shoes.Mika’s hair was in mess and her hair band was loose so Shinn had to put away the hair band arrange her hair.

After a few minutes, Ishia and Nana came into the room

Nana: Let me see her.I’ll do some check first alright.

Nana went to to Mika and did all the basic check before checking her pulse.

Nana: High fever no doubt.Her pulse is very fast,she need the water pillow to ease the temperature of her body. And I don’t think she can eat any medicine now and I doubt she will be awake.She is probably worn out.I’ll have the medicine send to her with a warm breakfast.Ishia-san,tell the chef to make some soup for her for breakfast.First thing tomorrow alrgiht Ishia-san?

Ishia : Don’t worry,I’ll get it done.                                                              

Nana : I’ll have Hana or Megumi send the medicine to her later.For time being,the water pillow will help.

Nana was about to exit the room but the she stopped and turned around.

Nana : It would probably be better if you can change her clothes.The sweat would not ease the temperature at all.Get clean clothes for her.Probable something very loose and thin.

Ishia: She can borrow mine,let me go--

Shinn : Take mine Ishia-san.

Shinn went to his wardrobe and took a grey shirt from the drawers.And then he went to another drawer and took out a same color casual pants.

Shinn : Will these be fine?

Nana : I guess that would be just fine (chuckles).I was about to offer mine but I guess my offer is invalid now.(went out)

Ishia : (sigh) Why did you ask her to come Shinn?

Shinn : I was not aware that I sent her the text message.

Ishia : Oh really?How is that even possible(sigh).Alright then,you take care of her while I go and check on megumi and Hana.

Shinn : Wait wait Ishia-san.(showing the clothes)

Ishia : I’ll have Hana and Megumi to help me with that.

At the same time,Hana and Megumi arrived with a bowl of cold water and a towel.

Ishia : Shinn,you need to wait outside so that we can change--

Shinn : Oh yes right.Alright alright take your time .Thank you Ishia-san.

Shinn went out and closed the door.He leaned on the wall beside the door and waited.

Hana : this is..?

Ishia: Shinn’s.

Megumi : Wait..what?

Ishia : I offered mine.Nana offered hers too.But Shinn offered his,anyway, we must change her fast.She would be so uncomfortable right now.Come help me.

THE NEXT MORNING

Mika tried to open her eyes when she heard the sound of the birds chirping and she knew that is not her house becase she usally woke up the sound of Haruna babbling about waking up late to work.Mika then opened her eyes and the first thing she saw was the ceiling.When she finally realized that she is at the Kabuki Palace she quickly got up and looked around

Ishia : Mika-san,finally you are awake!

Mika : (looking at IShia) Ishia-san?Wait what.

Ishia : Good Morning!I was so worried that I cant stay still.How are you feeling today?

Mika : (arranging her hair to the back) How did--

Ishia :You didn’t remember?You fainted yesterday.

Mika : I fainted?what?(looking at herself)

Mika was shocked to see her clothes she wore last night are nicely folded and placed beside her. She looked at herself and then turned her head to Ishia.

Ishia :You didn’t remember Shinn carrying you here?

Mika : He ..what?

Ishia : He carried you here…after you fainted.

Mika : I fainted?Seriously?Wait,where is he now?

Ishia : He went our for a jog.I guess he will back anytime soon.

Mika quickly removed the blanket on top of her.

Ishia :why whats wrong?

Mika : I must get going before he returns.He must not know--

Shinn :No,you are not going anywhere Mika.

Mika stopped her action and turned around to see Shinn  at the door frame.

Shinn : Ishia-san,is her breakfast   ready?

Ishia : Oh yes,I almost forgot about the soup.I’ll go and get it alright.(went to the kitchen)

Mika : (sigh)

Shinn removed his earphones and put in on the table before sitting infront of Mika.

Mika : ….

Shinn : How are you feeling?

Mika : Fine?

Shinn swiftly put his palm on Mika’s forehead to check

Shinn : I guess the temperature has gone down

Mika :Okay..

Shinn : Ishia will bring the soup Nana-san asked the Chef to make for you,after that eat your medicine.Then go back to sleep.

Mika : Wait..what?

Shinn : Eat and sleep.

Mika : Why would I sleep here,I should be going home by now.

Shinn : Ishia asked Suzu to inform your family that you fainted and you are here.

Mika : And how did Suzu--

Shinn : He went to your house of course.

Mika : He did?

Shinn :Yes.

Mika : Suzu did.

Shinn : You should rest.

Mika : Im fine now.

Shinn : really?

Mika : Oh shut up.Wait,who’s are these?(showing her clothes)

Shinn : Both are mine.

Mika : Wait,yours?

Shinn : Yes.

Mika : Why am I wearing your clothes!?

Shinn : Nana-san said we need to change your clothes because you sweated a lot.So we changed.

Mika : “we” ?

Shinn : Yes we.I mean of course I am not  included.Ishia -san,Megumi and Hana.Dont worry (laughing)

Mika : You would be dead if you were included.(sigh)

Shinn : Im sorry I asked you to come.

Mika : Oh, it’s okay.At least I had the chance to bump into Shibasaki-san.(sarcastic tone)

Shinn : (laughed)

Mika was staring at the garden since the door from Shinn’s room to the garden is opened.

Shinn : Why did you come when you are not well Mika?

Mika : I don’t know

Shinn : (laughing) Alright alright,you wouldn’t tell me even I force you.

Mika : (playing with her hair)

Shinn : Why didn’t you come to my room last night?

Mika stopped playing with her hair look at Shinn.

Shinn : You should have call when you arrived.

Mika : I don’t even want to talk about this Mizuhara-san.

Before Shinn could say anything else,Ishia came in with the soup and Hana helped her to prepare the table.

Ishia : Alright,Mika-san!The soup is ready and the Chef made it specially for you(smiling)

Hana : Mika-san,this is your medicine.

Shinn :Eat.

Ishia : Feel better soon alright Mika-san (smiles)

Mika smiled at Ishia and Hana as they went out .

Shinn : Eat.

Mika : (staring at Shinn)

Shinn : Or else Im gonna feed you(reaching for the spoon)

Mika snatched the spoon before Shinn could take it

Mika : Not in a million years.

Shinn : By the way,your keys is on the table.

Mika : My keys?

Shinn : Your bike’s?

Mika : My bike!?

Shinn : I had Suzu moved them from the place you parked them.

Mika : Move where?

Shinn : To your house.

Mika : (shocked)Wait what?How is that even possible?

Shinn : Never underestimate what Suzu can  and would do.Now eat.

Mika : (annoyed)

Shinn : Anyway,I removed your necklace because--

Mika : (checking her neck) My necklace?!

Shinn : Don’t you worry about your necklace.It is safe and sound in my drawer.

Mika : Why did you do that?

Shinn : Because it was entangled with your beautiful long hair(grins)

Mika stared at Shinn for a while before  realizing that her hair was loose.

Shinn : You didn’t realized about hair indeed (laughing)

Mika : Oh shut up,it’s not even a big deal.

Shinn : Who knows,Mika stays Mika when it comes to her personal life.

Mika : You can stop talking now.(sipping her soup)
