Chapter 37 - Crushed

ODERA’s RESIDENCE

Haruna quickly ran upstairs when she got back from work .

Haruna : Mika!You didn’t tell me you came back!

Mika :I am here now and How did you know I was back?

Haruna : Mother called and told me about you.

Mika : she did ?

Haruna : And how terrible you look when you showed up at the door.

Haruna sat beside Mika on the bed and hugged her.

Haruna : I don’t know what happened but I know you need this.(patting Mika’s head)

Mika : thank you Haruna.I really do need this .

Haruna  then released the hug and look at Mika.Mika’s eyes were already swollen and she knew something is not right.

Haruna : Are you going to tell me what happened in Kyoto?And I doubt you are going to be fine now

Mika : (sigh) Before that,I got you this.

Mika took out a small package and hand it to Haruna.

Haruna :  For me?

Mika :I promised you a souveneir remember?

Haruna opened the small package and took out a pastel pink lucky charm .

Haruna : This is so beautiful.

Mika : I knew you would want something in that color

Haruna : Thank you Mika!.Now,tell me.What happened in Kyoto?And I doubt this has nothing to do with Shinn too.And I know everything is so messed up now.

Mika took the box and the file and gave it to Haruna.As Haruna was going through the stuffs,Mika told her everything that happened in Kyoto and Haruna listen very very carefully.

Haruna :Nagasaki Memorial Park?There?

Mika : Hayashi-san said so.

Haruna :The same as Kazuya’s?

Mika : Yes.And they died on the same day Haruna.The same day.

Haruna : (shocked) I don’t think this is a coincidence…

Mika : (sigh) I don’t know what is God trying to show me but--

Haruna put all the files on the bed and stared at Mika

Mika : Why?

Haruna : WAIT,DID YOU SAY HE KISSED YOU!?

Mika : You heard me.

Haruna: I cant believe this!

Mika : Oh well.

Haruna : Can I actually cut Shinn into 19 pieces ?Why?Wait,he kissed you and he he he..wait I have to brain everything.this is pretty troublesome..wait wait.

Haruna : But,still. Why would he do that.He shouldn’t do that.But things are so mixed up right now.Rina was his assistant and also his girlfriend and she is your sister and you are his girlfriend ,wait are you still his girlfriend?

Haruna : Hmmmm.This is a very serious issue indeed.

Mika looked at Haruna and Haruna abruptly turned to look at her

Mika : (looking at Haruna)

Haruna : (nodding) But it will be impossible to forget someone as handsome as Shinn because he kissed you and  and -- wait.wait..

Haruna looked at Mika’s face closely and her face was very very serious

Haruna : You guys just kissed? Did you…

Mika : What?(puzzled)

Haruna : Go further further..

Haruna : (sigh)You know that thing Mika,that thing.Do you want me to spell it out for you?(annoyed)

Mika finally caught what Haruna was trying to say and she said nothing but her expression changed and Haruna saw the slight change

Haruna : OH MY GOD!

Haruna quickly grabbed Mika’s shoulders and look straight into her eyes

Mika : Haruna,lower you voice(whispering)

Haruna : Oh my god!this is a serious issue Not to mention you are now officially an adult now,welcome to the club but anyway.But that’s not the point now.The point is wait,what exactly is happening now.Why do I feel like Im in a drama or something.

Mika : Club?Are you kidding me Haruna?

Haruna took Mika’s hand and pointed at the silver ring .

Haruna : Don’t tell me you guy ran to Kyoto to get married?!

Mika : No of course not!What are you talking about.

Haruna : Oh wait,this is the ring you told me just now!(nodding as she remembers what Mika told her)

Mika :Hmmmm. (removing the ring)

Haruna : Why are you taking it off?

Mika : I don’t even want to wear them

Haruna : Mika….

Mika : Im tired Haruna.I think Im gonna lie down and sleep early.

Haruna : Mika,Im sorry for you lost.We will talk about this tomorrow alright?Got to sleep,your eyes are so swollen now.I should get you some cucumbers!

Mika : Alright,good night Haruna.Thank you (smiling)

Haruna : Goodnight Mika.If you need anything,tell me alright?

KITCHEN

Minami : It must be really hard for her.

Haruna : (sigh) She is sound asleep.I think the day had been really rough for her.

Minami : Have you told Tsuzuku?

Haruna : I called him just now and he said he will stop by tomorrow or maybe the day after.

Minami : So this Rina-san?She was really really pretty(looking at the photo)

Haruna : Just like Mika-san.They really do look alike .Especially the eyes.Just like their mother right Oka-san..

ROOM

Mika couldn’t sleep but she kept her eyes close as everything in her head is such a mess.She doubt that she can sleep at all.She looked at her watch

Mika : It’s only 9 no wonder I am not sleepy.

Mika changed her clothes and took her black leather jacket and went downstairs.She quickly went down the stairs while tying her hair.

Haruna : Mika-san?

Mika : Im gonna go out for a ride alright.Dont worry.I’ll be back soon.(smiles)

Mika quickly went outside and put on her helmet.She rode her bike to her usual place,the park where she usually go with Kazuya before.

As she was riding,she then passed by a junction and suddenly she stopped .She then looked at spot and thought about what happened at the same spot 2 years ago.

Mika : (shocked)

Mika suddenly remembered what Rina wrote in the letter about being thankful that she got to meet her and this is it,this was the place that she met Rina.It was 2 years ago .Everything that happened at the spot 2 years back suddenly flashes back in her mind,clearly...
