Chapter 50 - Jinxed

SAKURAKO INN

Haruna : The nearest inn to Aya’s shop.Perfect.

Caroline : It’s very cheap but they even have onsen!!!

Haruna : Well,the fact that they are cheap because we took the last room for two.

Caroline : Anyway,still cant reach Mika?

Haruna : I doubt she even bring her phone .

Caroline : That guy said--

Haruna : It’s takeru,Aya’s husband.

Caroline : Right,Takeru-san said they went out after work.

Haruna : Lucky us Aya’s husband were at the door,if not we don’t even know if we got the right shop.I thought we are not gonna find the shop

Caroline : Indeed,im gonna take dip in the onsen!

Haruna : You are not going alone!!!

Caroline : Cold weather,hot bath.Perfect(excited)

KABUKI PALACE

Ishia : I cancelled all his activities for the month.

Nana :You had to I guess

Shouji : Shinn didn’t even call you?

Ishia : Not at all.Well,he didn’t even show up at the palace the last time.

Nana : You mean when Rina died.

Ishia : …yes,when she died.

Shouji :Lets hope for the best of everyone. We cant blame Shinn for the whole thing.

Nana : From my point of view,Shinn is at fault Shouji-san.

Ishia : (sigh)

Nana went to her office and sat on her working chair.She took the file on her desk and opened it.

Nana suddenly remembered when Rina suddenly went to her office and sat on the bed.And that was the time Rina told her about her sickness.She and rina cliqued instantly .They had been really close that Nana can tell Rina just about everything and Rina did the same thing back when she was still alive.

Rina : Nana-san really loved tulips.Tulips are everywhere in here.

Nana : Well,the colors are really vibrant.I love them!

Rina : Nana-san,can I tell you something?

Nana quickly turned her chair to face Rina.

Nana : Are you not feeling well Rina?

Rina : I don’t think I can tell this to anyone else but you,for now.

Nana : Why,whats wrong?

Rina : My days are numbered.

Nana : (puzzled face) Wait,what?

Rina : I only have 4 months left Nana .4 months left.

Nana knew that the second Rina mentioned about her numbered days,she knew Rina is sick and she was the first one to know and they both kept it as a secret until Rina,herself told Shinn about.

Nana : (sigh) I guess Mika didn’t know about you leaving so soon Rina.She certainly didn’t know about it.

MORNING

Mika went our walking the morning despite the cold weather since it snowed last night.She was up early and the when she came bacl,Aya and Takeru were already busy getting ready to open their shop.

Yabuki : Good Morning Mika-san!

Aiko : Morning Mika-san!

Mika :Good Morning!

Aiko : Did you just went out for a walk?

Yabuki : Arent you cold?

Mika : It was a bad idea indeed.Im freezing now.Come,lets go in.You guys are early!

AIko : Yabuki woke me up when his beloved phone fell and he cant find it (annoyed)

Yabuki : Do you have to tell that to Mika-san?

Mika : (laughing)

INSIDE

Aya : It’s freezing Mika!

Mika : (drinking her soup)

Aya : I don’t even want to wake up just now (laughed)

Takeru : I had to wake her about 5 times.

Aya : I love my sleep*winks

Mika : Anyway,Takeru-san. Aya told me someone asked for her yesterday?

Aya : Oh yes,I almost forgot about that.

Mika : Did they mentioned their names?

Takeru : No the didn’t,but one of the girls are so tall and she does not look Japanese.And her eyes are blue!

Mika and Aya quickly exchanged glances.

Aya : It must be Caro..Caroline!

Mika : I guess so.Well,I guess I can turn on my--

Aya :Definitely

Mika : Wait,I don’t think so yet.

Aya : Mika…(sigh)

Mika : I’ll wait longer.

Aya : How long?

Mika : Untill I feel like it.(laughing)

Aya : Fine,fine.Im gonna go to the kitchen alright.Are you going anywhere today?

Mika : Im gonna go buy some stuffs after this.

Aya : Make sure you put on your winter jacket alright!(went to the kitchen)

After finishing her soup,Mika went upstairs to get ready and after that she went straight to her bike.

SAKURAKO INN

Caroline : The breakfast is so nice.

Haruna : The miso soup is so not bad.

Caroline : It feels like we are on vacation though

Haruna : While we are at it,why not (laughing)

As they were talking,suddenly they heard a loud screeching engine sound coming from the road and both of them stopped talking.

Caroline : Am I just hearing things or that sounds like Mika?

Haruna quickly went out from their room and went to the main entrance of the inn and looked outside.Caroline quickly put her chopsticks down to follow Haruna.

Haruna : (looking around) She’s fast.

Caroline : You saw her?

Haruna : Not at all.

Caroline : well,I guess she must have went that way since Aya’s shop is at the left side.

Sakura,the owner of the Inn came to them to check on what is happening.Because she saw both of them coming out from their room in their plain yukata,running towards the main entrance all of a sudden.

Sakura : Is there anything I can help?(smiling)

Haruna : Sakura-san,sorry for the trouble.But,what do you have up front after the road?

Sakura: That will be town dear(smiles)

Caroline : Lets?

Haruna : thank you so much Sakura-san(smiles)

TOWN

Mika parked her bike infront of a coffee shop and leaned on her bike for awhile before deciding weather to go inside or go somewhere else.

Mika : I guess this will be just nice.

Mika carried her helmet together and went into the shop.She took the most end table and ordered herself a hot green tea latte and sat there alone.She brought along her novel she bought earlier and began reading.

Suddenly,she heard the ladies sitting infront of her table talking about the magazine they were reading and their voices were quite loud that she could hear them

Girl : He is featured again!

Girl 2 : But this time,he is with his cousin Hiiro!

Girl 3 : Check the next page!All 5 of them are in the photo!

Girl :Shinn is so handsome I cant even tell if he is real !I really like his black hair this time

GIRL 3: He looks much younger god I can marry him

Girl 2 : Wait,Hiiro is much more charming than him!He looks younger!

Girl : Shinn is! But,the others are not bad too don’t you think?

Girl 3 : Is he married?

Girl : I don’t think so,but did you know that he mentioned in Nico Nico interview that his assistant is a female?

Girl 2 :I saw that one!(excited)

Girl 3 : But he never showed her face though..

Girl : Could it be he is seeing her?

Mika accidentally spurted her tea and started coughing as she heard the girl said that.She quickly wiped her mouth and resumed her reading.

Mika : Am I jinxed or what.you are everywhere indeed (sigh)

The girls sitting beside her kept talking about Shinn and Hiiro and Mika knew,they are not going to stop...at all.

MIka : Haih...,give me a break (annoyed)
