Chapter 42- Goodbye

PRESENT

NOON

Minami : I wonder whats going on….(worried)

Tsuzuku : His body was so cold and hot at the same time.I think the pills will ease the fever.What the hell was he doing out there ?He must have be out there for too long to be that pace and…cold.(annoyed)

Minami : Have you called Meisa?

Tsuzuku : I did and she said it’s fine.She even asked if we want her to come over.

Minami : So nice of her(smiling)

Suddenly they heard footsteps outside the main door and  Haruna appeared at the door,and there were Meisa and Caroline too.

Haruna : SHINN IS HERE!?( breathing hard)

Caroline : Haruna,lower your voice!

Meisa : Alright,alright.Get inside first.Move girls,move

Minami : Come in come in!

Meisa : I bought some fruits for you Oka-san~

Minami : So sweet of you Meisa!

Caroline : Where is Mika?

Haruna : yes yes where is Mika.What happened what happened?

Tsuzuku : (pointing up) With Shinn.

Meisa,Caroline and Haruna : WHAT!?

ROOM

Shinn was laying on the Mika’s bed with a wet towel on his forehead.After Tsuzuku gave him some pills,he quickly fell asleep.

Mika : What should I do.What should I do.Oh damn it.He is here.I cant believe he is here.(mumbling)

Shinn tried to open his eyes but then his head hurt that he realized it’s gonna be hard for him to wake up.But he could hear Mika’s mumbling and walking back and forth in the room

Mika : What if he mentioned about that night?Oh god, now.If he did I would definitely smack his head.Oh wait,what am I going to do.I haven’t seen him for 5 days and I thought I would never again.Oh damn it,but he is here Mika.On your bed.ON my bed.Damn,oh god.I  need to breath.I need to calm down.and breath in,breath out.Yes yes yes

Mika didn’t realized that Shinn was already awake and already woke up and leaned on the bed fram watching her going back and forth while mumbling something that made him laughed silently

Mika : (rubbing her head) Think Mika,think.God gave you two brains.SO think.What am I gonna do now.I think I need to breath in and yes,I should just leave now.Wait,what?

Shinn : You can calm down now Mika.

Mika stopped all her mumbling  when she heard Shinn’s voice and slowly turn around.Mika saw Shinn was smiling at her and she cant believe she didn’t heard him waking up at all.

Mika : When did you… wake up?

Shinn : About 1 minute ago,early enough to listen to your mumblings.(laughing)

Mika stepped backward and stood at the door.

Shinn : Why are you standing so far?

Mika : Nothing.I..I…nothing.

Shinn : Are you gonna keep standing there or do you want me to drag you here ?

Mika : (raising her hand) I’ll move.You stay there,and don’t even think of getting out of the bed.

Shinn laughed when Mika said that and he agreed to stay on the bed.Mika walked one step at a time towards the bed and sit at the very edge of the bed .

Mika :Has your fever ease?

Shinn : Yes,I must thank Tsuzuku for that.

Mika : (nodding)

Shinn : Why are you sitting so far Mika?

Mika : For fun.

Shinn  leaned forward to pull Mika closer.

Mika : Wait.Wait wait!

Shinn looked at her and said nothing as she pulled her hand out of his and looked away.

Both of them were silent for a while.

While,on the other side of the door…..

Caroline : Heh?Why is it quite?What happened---

Meisa : Shhhh!Caroline,they might hear you!

Haruna : You girls,shut up.I am trying to focus here!(whispering)

Tsuzuku and Minami shook their heads as they watched the three girls with their ears glued to the door trying to listen to what Shinn and Mika are talking about.

Tsuzuku : (face palm) What am I going to do with them.

Minami : (laughed)

Shinn : Are you ever gonna look at me?

Mika : No.

Shinn : Ever?

Mika : No.

Shinn : Alright.

Mika : Why did you come Shinn.

Shinn : Why?

Mika : You heard me.

Shinn : well,the prince charming must come to see his beloved no   matter what right?

Mika : Oh shut up.

Caroline : Did he said prince charming?Is he for real or what?

Meisa : (nodding)

Haruna : Huh.Old tricks Shinn,old tricks.

Shinn and Mika were silent for a while.Agaub

Shinn : I miss you Mika.

Mika : I miss me too.

Shinn : Are you gonna let me explain?

Mika : No,you are not gonna say anything.You can go home after this.

Mika was about to get off the bed before Shinn grabbed her hands and pull her to him.Mika was shocked when he did that,she quickly  tried to pull her hands away but Shinn wont let it go.

Mika : Your hands Shinn.Off.

Shinn : Mika,please listen to me.

Mika : NO.Please don’t say anything.I had enough.

Shinn : I am not gonna leave until you let me explain everything.

Mika : Oh besides the lying part,is there anything that is left out Mizuhara-san?

Meisa : Mika is so gonna kick him out of the windows.

Caroline : I’ll bet on that.

Haruna : Shhhh!

Mika : Explain.

Shinn : …

Mika : Explain or leave.

Shinn : (sigh) I knew it all along Mika.

Mika : And

Shinn : When I saw your pendant,I knew that you and Rina are connected in someways.And when I discovered that you was her sister,I don’t know what to do and I don’t know what should I do actually.

Mika : Im listening.

Shinn : I knew Rina would be mad if I let you down but I didn’t not lie to you about my feelings.

Mika : ….

Shinn : I knew she was your sister after I realized I have feelings for you.And no,I didn’t fell for you because I saw Rina in you. And you must know that I didn’t lie about my feelings to you.

Mika : How do you expect me to believe that.

Shinn : I’ll do anything to make you believe me Mika.

Mika : Oh,if I ask you to go away and leave me forever would you do that?

Shinn :If that will make you believe I would.But,I cant promise that I wont come back for you.

Caroline : OH wow,is he reading script or what?

Meisa : He is an actor Caroline!

Haruna : Listen !Shhhh!SHHH!(smacks Meisa’s head)

Mika : (sigh)

Shinn : Mika, do you know how worried I was when you ended the call and I cant reach you for these past few days.thinking that I just lost you.And digesting the fact that I would never see you again after this.

Mika : …..

Shinn : I thought I lost everything just in a split second that day.

Mika : Well,you just lost a personal assistant.Not a big deal.

Shinn : No--

Mika : Have you ever thought about what I felt?Knowing that I actually love someone who does not even love me even he said he do?

Shinn : Mika,stop.

Mika : no you stop.I didn’t know how  Rina could fall for you.But when I read her letter and how she said she loved you so much.She made me think again and everything about you changed. I read all the things she said about you in her journal.Everything.I saw the photos.And do you know why I couldn’t bring myself to be selfish and go back to you?

Shinn : …

Mika : Because I feel like I just stole you from her.As if her death is because of me.And as if she have to die so that I can meet you and fall in love with you while she cant. And do you know how bad is the feeling when you made a very oath with your sister but you were the one who broke it?

Shinn : Mika--

Mika : No Shinn. The reason why I want you to leave is not because I don’t want you here.It is because Rina was suppose to be alive and deserves you more then me. Rina should had lived all along and enjoy her life full of love Shinn.Not me and I cant forgive myself from now on.

Shinn :Mika,listen to me.You stop talking now and look at me.

Mika :What?

Shinn : You are wrong.Very wrong.

Mika : What do you--

Shinn : Rina knew it along that I will fall in love with you Mika.Because? She told me that she is the reflection of her little sister,you. She said whatever that I saw in her,comes from you and if I love her,I would be loving you at the same time.She knew it along,that she will leave us so soon.And I finally understood what she meant when she said that.

Mika : She did…?

Shinn : Yes.And her last words was all about you Mika.

Caroline,Haruna and Meisa looked at each other and continued to listen to their talk.

Mika : Enough Shinn.You can leave now.

Shinn : Mika,don’t ask me to leave.I wont leave without you.

Mika : (looking at Shinn) Do you know how hard it is to be away from someone you really really want to be with? These few days has been really wrong and bad for me. I didn’t know that I actually survived not seeing you anymore.And I thought everything that happened was just a mistake and nothing is meant for us.

Shinn : No Mika.God knew what is he doing and why lead me to you.

Mika : To bring troubles in my life?

Shinn : To show me that fate is something came unexpected

Meisa : Damn Shinn is so romantic…

Haruna : You heard that Tsuzuku (chuckling)

Tsuzuku : Hello excuse me,I am triple more romantic that useless guy.

Caroline : Shhhh!This is the important part!

Mika : I knew I cant run away from you if I ever bumped into you.But,

Mika pulled her hands away from Shinn and quickly stood up.

Mika : No.This is not right.

Shinn : Mika--

Mika : Don’t say anything else.Leave when you are feeling better

Caroline : She’s not gonna let it go I think.

Haruna : It’s Mika you are talking about..

Mika quickly went to the door before Shinn could do anything and Mika quickly opened the door.

Caroline : Oh my,move move!She’s coming!

Mika : Don’t ever think of searching for me Shinn.Stop everything.

Mika quickly twist the knob and opened the door.

Haruna: Mika…

Mika saw all the three girls standing infront of her but she said nothing.

Shinn was about to get off the bed when Mika quickly closed the door.

Mika : I’ll be away for a few days.Haruna,you know which number to call alright.I’ll see you guys soon.Dont worry about me

Mika quickly went downstairs,then Haruna went after her

Tsuzuku : (opened the door) Mizuhara?

Shinn was already at the door when Tsuzuku appeared.

Shinn : Odera-san.I have to--

Shinn were quite unstable because he got up too quick,obviously his fever has not ease down just yet.

Tsuzuku : We need to talk but not now.For now,you are not going anywhere.You are still sick.

Shinn : But I must go--

Caroline suddenly went to Shinn and slapped him

Caroline: Shut up you prick

Tsuzuku and Meisa were shocked when Caroline slapped him.BOth of them looked at Caroline and Shinn.

Caroline : I wish I could punch you but considering you are sick.A slap is hard enough.

Meisa : Caroline…

Tsuzuku : Whatever it is,Shinn.Sit.We need to talk.
