Chapter 11- Flashback

Mika : Should I get the banner straighten?I don’t like it flapping here and there

Haruna : Eh?(looking at the banner)

Caroline : Tsuzuku is not here though....         

Mika : Its okay Caroline.Let me do it.

Haruna : Eh!But it’s dangerous Mika

Mika : It’s okay.Hold the ladder for me

Caroline : Are you sure?

Mika : Why not?I doubt Tsuzuku will be coming back anytime soon.He is helping other volunteers in the kitchen.

Haruna : So hmmm.Alright then.Come,let us help you hold the ladder.Make sure you watch your steps.

Mika : Hai hai

Mika climbed the ladder,one step at a time and once she got on the 6^th step,she stopped.She leaned forward to tighten the rope that hung the banner and straighten them up

Mika : How is it now?

Haruna : A bit more.

Mika : Alright .

Caroline : Alright,its perfect now!

Mika : Im coming down now.

Suddenly there were cats running around and suddenly the cats gathered around Caroline who is afraid of cats.Caroline jumped and accidentally hit the ladder so hard that made Haruna lost the grip and the ladder shook.

Caroline : Oh damn you cats.Oh my god the ladder!

The ladder lost it balance and so does Mika.Mika tripped and fell but before hitting the ground,somebody caught her and both of them fell to the ground.Mika cant feel anything because she was pretty sure she is on top of something,or maybe someone.Mika’s amnesia has gotten really worse that she cant really stand because her head was spinning and she cant make up the faces around her.

Kazuya : Are you okay?

Mika : (blank)

Caroline and Haruna ran to Mika and helped her get up.Mika hold on to both of the girls because she can barely stand nor do anything at all

Kazuya stood up and looked at Mika

Haruna : Mika,are you alright.Can you see me?

Caroline : Oh my god.I am so sorry Mika.Mika?

Mika : (looking at Kazuya) Im fine.IM fine.Im fine.Thank you (exhaling hard)

Kazuya :Are you sure you are alright?

Mika : Yes,yes I am sure.Im fine.Thank you for saving me

Kazuya : You don’t look fine.(putting his palm on Mika’s forehead)

Haruna and Caroline watched as Kazuya placed his palm on frozen Mika’s forehead.

Kazuya : you have a slight fever don’t you?

Mika : Fever?(looking at Kazuya with a blank expression)

Kazuya : You should drink more water.Plain water alright.Your face is very pale.Maybe because of the shock from falling just now.

Mika : I fell?

Kazuya : (chuckles) Im getting used to this now.

Haruna :And you are?

Caroline : I think he’s a doctor..

Kazuya :Pardon me. Nakagawa Kazuya.I m a doctor and I am one of the volunteers here too.*bows.

Caroline : Sawajiri Caroline.And this is Odera Haruna.

Mika : ….

Kazuya : you must be Mika then?’

Mika : (nods)

Kazuya : You better bring her somewhere she can sit or lie down.I am pretty sure her state is still in shocked because her pupils are somehow expanding.

Haruna : No problem,no problem at all.Thank you so much Nakagawa-san

Kazuya : My pleasure.

Caroline and Haruna helped Mika walked to one of the resting room and Kazuya watched them from a far.

Kazuya : (smiles )

WEEKS LATER

Mika: You are so so careless Haruna.

Haruna : Oh my god,my stomach hurts so bad.(holding he stomach)

Mika :Well then,I am not gonna eat here alone.

Haruna :Eh no no,you must eat here.I have reserved this place for two.So so so…

Mika : Then why did you come here (sigh)You should have told me earlier Haruna.You look terrible.

Haruna : I know.That is why I called for back up!(pointing at the door)

Mika turned to the direction Haruna is pointing and she saw someone who has been on her mind for weeks.Someone she would kill to meet again.

Kazuya : I am so sorry I am late.

Haruna : IM gonna get going then.Bye!(quickly grab her stuffs and ran away)

Mika : Wait--

Mika cant do anything to stop Haruna because she ran too fast and Kazuya is there,standing infront of her.

Kazuya : I guess,Haruna had it all planned?

Mika cant say anything when she realized the reason behind all of this.Haruna actually planned a blind date for both of them and she cant believe it.

Mika : Since you are here,why don’t we just go ahead and eat?

Kazuya : Great idea.

Kazuya took Haruna’s seat and pressed the button to order.While Mika just cant look at Kazuya because her heart is beating so fast.

Kazuya : I didn’t know that Haruna lives with you.

Mika : Actually I am the one who lives with her.Eh,wait.How did you know about Haruna and I living together?

Kazuya : Actually,after the volunteer work in Omotesando,Haruna and I met several times for the next volunteer work.I thought you would be there when I asked for you.Haruna said you were busy with something else.

Mika : Oh but she never mentioned about meeting you during the volunteer work.

Kazuya : She didn’t?

Mika : (shook her head)

Kazuya : So,I suppose you still remember my name?

Mika : Kazuya eh wait.I cant remember your full name.

Kazuya : Kazuya is good enough.(chuckles)

Mika : …..

Kazuya : So,are you working now?

Mika : No,not really.

Kazuya : Studying?

Mika : Of course not.

Kazuya : Do you like hanami?

Mika : Hanami?Is that even a question.I love them

Kazuya : Great.I was planning to go for a picnic next week but then the one who supposed to go with me cant go.

Mika : Picnic?

Kazuya : Yes,I do that frequently.

Mika : (grins) With your girlfriend eh?

Kazuya : Yes,my little cute girlfriend.

Mika : (speechless)

Kazuya : Wanna have a look at her photo?(taking out his iPhone)

Mika : Sure,why not.

Kazuya : (handed his phone to Mika)

Mika looked at the photo of him and a little girl aged maybe between 4-6 together at a park.

Mika : This is your cute girlfriend? (looking at Kazuya)

Kazuya : Cute right?(laughing)

Mika : She is so adorable.How old is she?

Kazuya : turning 6 this year. The only little sister I have.

Mika : Wait,how old are you to have such a young little sister?

Kazuya : She is my sister’s daughter actually.I always kidnapped her for a picnic because she loves hanami. Her name Tomomi.

Mika : (smiling as she looks at Tomomi’s bright smile) She is one bright little girl.

Kazuya : So,would you go out with me?

Mika : What?

Kazuya : Picnic?Next week?Or am I too fast .

Mika laughed when she realized Kazuya is actually asking her out all of a sudden and they certainly got along very very well.
