CAFÉ

Haruna :(looking at Hiiro)

Hiiro : I need you tell me something.

Haruna : What?

Hiiro : Mika is in the house right?

Haruna : You bet she is.She has been on her  bed since 4 days ago.Not doing anything but spacing out,crying and sleeping and you know that is enough to make me kill Shinn.

Hiiro : (laughed)

Haruna : Dude,this is not funny at all.

Hiiro : Im sorry Im sorry but I was not expecting that --

Haruna : What?

Hiiro : I didn’t get your name yet.

Haruna : Odera Haruna.

Hiiro : Odera-san.

Haruna : (sigh) Why is Shinn waiting for her?

Hiiro : I think we both know that the fact Shinn loves her.

Haruna : My ass.

Hiiro : I am not lying.

Haruna : Oh really,then how do you know?

Hiiro : If he didn’t,he wouldn’t wait there for 10 hours everyday.

Haruna : I don’t believe Shinn.I dont believe you either.

Hiiro:I know Shinn.

Haruna : And I know Mika.

Hiiro : this is why we are here.

Haruna : What?

Hiiro : I guess you knew about Rina?

Haruna : (staring at Hiiro) Of course I do.

Hiiro : And you knew the whole lot about Rina being Shinn’s assistant 2 years ago,and she was Shinn’s girlfriend too and how it happened to be Mika’s sister.

Haruna : And How Shinn deceived Mika saying that he loves her when he don’t .Because what Shinn sees in Mika is just a reflection of his feelings towards Rina.And that is such a bullshit.

Hiiro :…

Haruna : Do you know why I hate guys?

Hiiro ; Guys?

Haruna : Yes,because they intend to be so bloody stupid at times.They don’t even think,and I don’t even know why God gave guys two brains.They need 10 of them. And you guys are so selfish.All you can think of is your feelings.Your own feelings.You never thought of our feelings. Maybe you thought you did but no,everything was just something that was set in your useless brains and thought that everything will be fine when its not.

Hiiro looked at Haruna and didn’t say anything because he knew if he did,he would be a dead meat.

Haruna : And your cousin is a very good example of a guy who needs more than 10 brains.

Hiiro : Why is that?

Haruna :You tell me.Why didn’t he tell Mika when he found out about Rina?When he discovered that Mika is Rina’s sister?Why? He wanted to wait?Untill when?Untill Mika found out and thought Mika wouldn’t mind about it? Do you now how terrible is it to see your best friend crying all night and you cant do anything because you are not in her shoes?Do you know that Mizuhara Hiiro-san?

Hiiro : (sigh)

Haruna : (smacks the table) I don’t think you do. DO you know how hard is to accept the fact that your best friend of 18 years is going through a very difficult time in her life? When she had face too many deaths and she just have to face more and more lies? Mika lost her parents when she was small.She lost her sister at the same time. And now you want her to lose her will to stand up again by giving Shinn a chance he never deserves? OVER MY DEAD BODY. I am never gonna let Shinn meet her.You,Mizuhara-san please ask Shinn to go away.Out of our lives,out of Mika’s life.

Hiiro : I apologize.

Haruna leaned to the couch of her seat and sigh.

Haruna : I cant believe this.

Hiiro : You must really love her don’t you?

Haruna : Mika deserves better .You know that.She lost everything in a flash.

Hiiro : And you know that we both know by not letting Shinn see Mika wont solve this.

Haruna :I have to agree on that even though I really want Shinn to go away.

Hiiro : But Mika wont leave the house

Haruna : She wont leave the house.I don’t think so,maybe for a few more days.

Hiiro sighed as he look out of the windows.

Haruna : Is Shinn really determined to wait for Mika?

Hiiro : I told him not to wait,I mean wait there,outside when it is snowing and freezing cold.But he wouldn’t listen.

Haruna : I don’t care.

Hiiro : What?

Haruna : Shinn must leave Mika alone.Forever.I could never jeopardize Mika’s happiness just  for him

Hiiro : Here is the problem.

Haruna : You guys are the problem.(staring at Hiro)

Suddenly the door to the café opened and Caroline walked in.

Haruna : Caroline?

Caroline saw Haruna and quickly walked to their table

Hiiro : Who?

Haruna : Im sorry I had to call off our meet up.

Caroline : Eh no no,its okay.

Hiiro looked at the girl infront of her.She doesn’t look like a Japanese with that  red hair and blue eyes. Hiiro looked at Caroline who wearing all black and those accessories around her wrist and fingers are enough to show that messing up with her would bring great trouble after all.Not to mention Caroline is taller than any other Japanese girls he has ever met,his eyes were locked at Caroline until Caroline snapped her fingers infront of him

Caroline : So,this is the guy whom you have to meet up?

Haruna : Yes yes.Sit here Caroline

Caroline sat beside Haruna and stared at Hiiro.

Caroline : And you are?

Hiiro : Mizuhara Shinn .Nice to meet you.

Caroline : Caroline-des.

Hiiro : You are not Japanese are you?

Caroline : Im half Japanese Mizuhara-san.But but,that’s not the point here dude

Haruna : (sigh)

Hiiro : Yes indeed.

Caroline : I think you guys are quite lucky Tsuzuku is at work now.

Haruna :True that.

Hiiro actually got the chills whenever Caroline talk because everytime she said something,it sounded like  warning to him,he thought so.And to think that she talks in in mixed Japanese (English +Japanese)

Caroline : So you guys better do something.I wont let you go.

Hiiro : (gulp) You don’t have to worry about that.

Haruna : What in the world is Shinn planning to do anyway?

Hiiro : To get her back of course.

Caroline : By what?Acting like the one in the movies or something?This is not America dude.Not at all.

Hiiro : I don’t even know.

Caroline : But one thing Hiiro,Shinn should know that Mika is not that easy for him to deal with.Wrong move to make her feel deceived.

Haruna : I don’t even know what to do now

Hiiro : (sigh)

NIGHT

Mika  was at her table browsing over Rina’s stuff.Mika then packed everything and put in at the corner of her desk.She decided no to torture herself by reading Rina’s entries in her personal journal.She kept everything aside and stare at her table.

Mika : What am I ever gonna do Rina…

THE NEXT DAY

MORNING

Mika was lying on the bed after taking a shower.She lay  down trying to free her mind over the things that has been buggin her these past few days.And then she decided to get dressed and go out,finally.She needs fresh air staying any longer in the room wont do any good to ease her messy mind.

Minami : where are you going?

Mika : Im gonna get some takoyaki.I have been craving for them since days ago.Or maybe anyting warm,an instant ramen sounds delicious too.Or maybe monjayaki (laughing)

Minami: I am so happy your look better now Mika-chan.!(smiling)

Mika : I am happy myself I guess.

Tsuzuku who was going down the stairs heard the conversation and interrupted

Tsuzuku : You better buy 5 setss of them to kill the cravings.(laughing)

Mika : (annoyed)When did you come home?

Tsuzuku :.This morning!Thought that you don’t even want to go out anymore(grinning)

Minami : Are you walking there?

Mika : Yes,I miss going for  a walk so I think walking would be nice now.

Tsuzuku:  Im going out too!

Minami : Tsuzuku wait!Let me get you the list first!

Tsuzuku : Alright,alright I’ll wait.

Mika : I’ll go first then.

Mika put on her winter boots and took a deep breath before stepping of the house gate.She hesitate at first but then she slowly opened the house gate and stepped outside.Finally...

Mika : FRESH AIRRRRR FINALLY!!(stretching)

Mika walked slowly and she was so  into keeping herself warm that she kept rubbing her arms and neck with her gloved hands.She walked pass two houses and then she passed by the red phone booth not far from her house.She then saw a familiar car parked at the sideways.She  stopped walking when she realized it was Shinn’s car.She turned around when she heard some noise behind her.

Mika : (shocked) Shinn..

Shinn didn’t say anything when he walked towards Mika and suddenly he collapse but Mika quickly caught him before he fell to the snow covered ground

Shinn : Fin..na…lly….(trembling)

Mika : Oh my god,you are so cold!What did you--

Shinn : It’s …cold…

Shinn didn’t say anything else after that because he was trembling and his face was very pale .He hold on to Mika and Mika thought that she wouldn’t have the strength to carry him to the house but then suddenly,he saw Tsuzuku coming out from the house.

Mika : Tsuzuku!A little help here?(poiting to Shinn)

Tsuzuku : Hah!?
